The hispanic population in Texas is growing much faster than the white polulation, and this election has turned young people against the GOP by a very wide margin. There’s actual science to back that up. Seriously, Texas is gonna be blue in the not too distant future.

I don’t take this poll all that seriously, except as an indicator that Cruz’s popularity has slipped in the wake of his loss to Trump and his sore loser speech at the RNC…which is entirely unsurprising.
If Cruz were actually to be knocked off by Perry? Well, I haven’t bothered to think much about the political consequences, but just in terms of it being a kick in the teeth to Cruz…it would be a hilarious one.

I agree, I’m resigned to that seat going to a nasty nitwit, but Cruz could actually run for and possibly win the presidency in 2020. If he can lose in 2018, that would effectively take him out of the running, and that’s a very good thing for everybody.

I live in TX and agree. I also think it’s highly unlikely that Perry could unseat Cruz, who is about six times smarter and 8 times as nasty.
