Discussion: WSJ: Kushner Cos. Pays $1.1B For 6,000 Apartments, Firm's Biggest Deal In Decade

So the Kushner’s don’t do any actual work, like the people they take money from? They’re paper shufflers.

Wonder why your kind of jobs are disappearing, rural Republicans?

Oh oh - all I can think is that this must mean the real estate market is getting ready to crash again. I am not 100% up on Jared’s career, but he has not been right about much - has he?

A division of Westinghouse, which stands to make billions from the nuclear energy deal with the Saudis.

Edit: I meant to say that Westinghouse bailed JK out from under the 666 building.

Jared Kushner’s father, Charles.

The convicted felon?

They are going to get financing from Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac? How sweet it is to know people in high places.

Maybe coupling with the daughter of a world-class shyster with a lot of influence. That could get you a seat at a lot of tables. I hope, though, that his lifetime access card to money men will be cancelled soon and they’ll confiscate it and shred it in the middle of one of his transactions.

I’m picturing the hundred times this happened:

Det’s Lennie Briscoe & Mike Logan walk into an office, ignore the receptionist, and proceed to cuff the bigshot in front of all their clients. Then Lenny says something pithy. Dum-Dum!

Who’s he working for, anyway? Where’s my big Mideast peace deal they keep carping about?

This deal is because Maryland (Baltimore) and Virginia (Richmond) don’t have enough homeless people.

After the way Jared ran properties in the City of Baltimore a couple of years ago where he defrauded tenants in rent court out of thousands in late fees and damages they didn’t owe because they had long moved out of the dilapidated properties, bankrupting already poor people, and being sued in the US District Court in Baltimore for the same with the addition of being a horrible slum lord, he wants to do more damage south of the Mason Dixon. He wants to cause people more harm and homelessness if he can increase the pain quotient by 6,000. Shame on him and his disgusting family also using taxpayer dollars to accomplish their nefarious ends.

You meant the Insolvent since the 2008 RE crash: Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac. That’s disgusting.

Really we will need to bring back the guillotine to deal with all these thieves.

When you see “Fannie Mae” or “Freddie Mac” think “US Taxpayers”. The fact that these failed institutions are even allowed to exist is a crime; that they’re also loaning our tax dollars to these criminals shows what a total con the entire mortgage industry is. When these loans predictably go into default, the US taxpayer will pick up the tab. On Dec 24, 2009, Obama lifted the cap on underwriting losses for Fannie/Freddie, meaning that we taxpayers are now the underwriters/guarantors for those loans.

Nice when you can engineer yourself a tax break for your investments…

Back in France in the day, they had a proper solution for this shit.
