Discussion: WSJ: DHS Chief Pushed Back Against WH Attempts To Name Kobach His Deputy

He really is going for the Axis of Sleaze

While decidedly sleazy, “Axis of Evil” popped into my head the other day and won’t go away…

This is right in line with PeePee’s practice of playing his underlings off each other, create schisms, division, “competition” for his praise.

Probably does the same thing with Hans, Franz, Lust Object and Cartier.

Department of Homeland Security Secretary John Kelly refused attempts by the White House to name Kansas Secretary of State Kris Kobach as Kelly’s deputy

DHS’s gain is Kansas’s loss.

Just as Cheney was the real power behind the throne in the Bush the Lesser White House, Bannon is the REAL decision maker in the Trump White House.

This has Bannon’s fingerprints all over it, as does the Muslim Ban.

Trump is just PLAYING at being President as Bannon strokes his ego to manipulate him (which is quite easy to do) and move his Fascist Amerika plan forward.

Don’t know about you, but my opinion of Kelly just rose precipitously.

Should Kelly resign in protest?

I am afraid at some point I’ll have used up all my outrage.

Well of Course

Yes, but let’s see what he does about the fact that he is both responsible, and not in control of, Homeland Security. Keeping Kobach out was good–but resignation has to be under consideration.

I sometimes think that–but then I find that there’s more. That said, this is why Democratic leadership is so vital. It creates a slipstream for our concerns.

John Kelly will be in there as the ‘moderate’ right up until Trump fills the other cabinet members with right wing radicals…then he’ll move to replace Kelly and Mathis. Getting them in was just to lull Congress into confirming his radical picks because he ALSO picked a couple of sane people.

Mine as well. Do we have to worry that Trump will make even the most hardcore conservative seem reasonable?

I hope not. I hope people who aren’t crazy stick around and make Peepee fire them. The more firings the more Peepee reveals himself to be unfit. Most Americans don’t want to see their institutions turned into a temp service. And Congress will get woefully tired of confirmation battles wherein Republicans will have to defend increasingly objectionable candidates.
