Get off the cross, Schilling. we need the wood (and the nails).

"Why donā€™t apes still evolve into humans.ā€ He set himself up so perfect with that one , and needs to look no further then his bathroom mirror. If he is not still shitting in the woods that is. LOL!

Schilling is lucky he could throw a baseball well-- and he is reasonably well-spoken.
But he is a dolt.

His video game venture some years back drained his coffers, and a grant of cash from the state of Massachusetts-- and he had the nerve when that ran out-- to go back to the state for more cash to flush down the toilet.

Heā€™s a f^ckup beyond anyoneā€™s estimation-- and heā€™s still making a mint more than he likely desrves.

Iā€™m guessing he thinks apes once gave birth to humans? Itā€™s astounding his thinking is so simplistic.

Curt Schilling was a good clutch pitcher in his day and he may know quite a bit about the game of baseball but he is surely outside of his circle of competence here!

ā€œBut the anger? Cussing? Every single follower I blocked had in their profile somewhere ā€˜Atheistā€™ ā€˜Liberalā€™ ā€˜Democratā€™ or some such label.ā€

Atheist, Liberal, Democrat ā€¦ Scientist, Teacher, Doctor, 4th grader, etc ā€¦

Damn thinking people and their facts!

All fossils are ā€œbetween 2 speciesā€, since whatever species they were evolved from progenitors and are themselves the progenitors of something else.

Curt who?

Is this the same genius who thought he could run a video game company?

Schilling does understand that no less a Christian than the Pope embraces evolution? So do a lot of other Christians.

Damn evangelicals, donā€™t they realize that they arenā€™t the only Christians.

That would explain the bloody foot thing.

Curt Schilling has always been a moron: failed businesses, previous gaffes, etc.

Schillingā€™s business issues were with Rhode Island and not Massachusetts and his contribution to the Red Sox championship in 2004 reflected performance that was better than just ā€˜good.ā€™

Yes, he is well and roundly criticized for his political posture on lots of issues and his libertarianism is called in question by the damage done to RI taxpayers in the collapse of his business and his whiny reaction to it.

But the evidence of his own comments here is that he does not deny the centrality of evaluation as an organizing theory for life as we know it but that he inserts Divine intervention at the creation of the human soul. Stephen Jay Gould had good commentary on the notion of non-overlapping Magisteria and Schillingā€™s comments as far as they are presented here can be accommodated under that umbrella.

Schillingā€™s observations that the criticisms that he has received from ā€˜atheistā€™sā€™ and ā€˜liberalsā€™ and ā€˜Democratsā€™ are less than elegant could be a point well taken. It really is ā€˜no fairā€™ to say that ā€˜Both Sides Do It.ā€™

Because, of course, only a ā€œliberalā€ puts facts and science above Iron Age superstition.
