Communication is a two-way street. When someone comes into my personal space and makes me feel uncomfortable, I either move myself away, position my body at an angle to them, or if unable to do either, I tell them to please give me space.

I haven’t seen any of these women write that they did or said anything to let him know that he made them feel uncomfortable, or that they even took non-verbal action to indicate that.

At a certain point, people are responsible to speak up about what they do/don’t want in life. Some people are huggers and all touchy-feely. Some people aren’t.

ETA: and if you framed the picture and hung it up, no takes-backsies later to say that it was a horrifically traumatic event.

Hit job. This daily drip drip drip is being planned somewhere, by someone.

Do less powerful men initiate the hug/touching or does the less powerful man have to wait for the more powerful man?

Sofie Karasek wrote that she used to like the photo of herself and Biden […] As time passed she said the photo brought about a sense of “shame and belittlement” even though she thinks the gesture may have been well-intended as a paternalistic or comforting act.

The mixed emotions described by Ms. Karasek may be confusing to observers but this I know: they were also confusing to her, and maybe still are. What’s more, they are not uncommon and in some cases they can be extremely difficult to deal with, both at the time and later. There may be pride and even a certain amount of gratitude but, at the same time, beneath the surface there can be humiliation or worse.

Anyone who is, or loves, or has worked with, an incest survivor – will recognize the phenomenon.

I’m not asserting here that Biden is a rabid monster – but one should still listen closely to these female human beings, and with respect.

I wish life were that simple. It is not.

“He then put his hand on the back of my head and pressed his forehead to my forehead while he talked to me. I was so shocked that it was hard to focus on what he was saying. I remember he told me I was a ‘pretty girl,’ ” Kohnert-Yount said in a statement to The Post.

He just met her. Look where hands are.

Gross. Just gross.

I guess men running for office should embark on an “I’m Sorry, I Have a Penis” apology tour before announcing their candidacy.

Within a few minutes of each other, TPM posts this article about Joe Biden holding hands with a woman and an article about the creep in Arizona who likes pedophilia. Sometimes the Democrats just need to get a grip. There are real perverts out there, but Joe Biden ain’t one of them.

Why does TPM feel compelled to give headline coverage to every person (no matter how irrational) who feels that Joe Biden invaded their “space” ?

Maybe because it might save us (and him) from him running for President.

These weren’t sexual assaults but invasion of boundaries in public settings. Joe Biden seems amenable to conversation with anyone. Discussing the problems with his behavior with him seems as if it would have been received properly. Even now, requesting a conversation with him by these women who seem so offended seemed appropriate. The public nature of their outcry, however well intentioned, could have been handled differently.

I don’t mean to diminish the problem of violation of a woman’s personal space by powerful men. But Biden’s actions don’t seem predatory, just misguided. Edification, not hyperbolic personal condemnation, would seem most appropriate.

This isn’t some terrible crime like incest, so that shouldn’t even come up as a comparison.

This is about the classic basic interaction between the huggy-touchy-feelers and those of us who prefer that everyone who is not about to kiss us be in the next State over, at least, and preferably overseas.

“I loved that interaction so much I proudly framed the picture. Then people told me I should be mad because it was sexist and offensive to women so now I’m mad because Joe Biden assaulted me and he has a reckoning coming!”

Lady, go the fuck away!

If you say so?

Because as a B.S. supporter, that’s your biggest concern; eliminating him as an alternative to the dinosaur from Vermont.

You’re wrong, but don’t let that stop you.
