Kentucky or Kansas?

Umm…I am pretty sure you meant that headline to read “With Kansas in Crisis”, since A) Brownback is the governor of Kansas and B) you don’t mention Kentucky anywhere in the article

Well, Kentucky is in crisis, but I’m pretty sure that got nothing to do with Sam Brownback.

Can there be a better example or cowardice and what the GOP has become than this? These assholes were in support of Brownback’s suicidal cuts and voted for them. They gave the cuts to him to sign into law and now that it’s not working out ( as every person with eyes open knew they would not ) they want to stiff the Governor? My God how craven.

What’s the matter with Kansas folks ask. Well its all fucked up and it’s up to the Kansans to unfuck it.

“Let him own it,” Republican Rep. Mark Hutton said. “It’s his policy that put us there.”

No, it is your policy. And the policy of everyone else in the GOP for the past couple of decades.

Kansas/Kentucky. Well they’re both disasters and start with “K”.

And GOPers really just need to double down and cut more taxes. Keep your ideological purity. Don’t go all wobbly!

Aside from the state in question, I am SO glad this is finally coming to a head.

As many commenters pointed out before, the midwest Red States (KS, WI, IN, etc.) have been ground zero in the trickle down, “conservative miracle.” It was always a sham that was nothing more than fodder for the rubes to keep them voting against their own economic interests.

Now, some these same asshole conservative governors were not just soundly elected but re elected even after the economic nonsense was proven to have failed. And, of course, the legislatures of these failed states can’t be bypassed for blame.

Dang! You mean some of those Kansas Pubbies are finally figuring out that reality is real? Sorry Pubbies, but reality is not something dreamed up by liberals!

I am not sure I would call it cowardice. This storm has been brewing for some time, and despite even evidence that republicans can’t ignore…Brownback is insisting on doing what doesn’t work. They showed him how unhappy they were with his results in the last election, though they did eventually get behind him enough to get him re-elected. But Brownback still refuses to acknowledge that a colossal fuck up he has been as governor.

Well, Kentucky and Kansas sound exactly alike and are right next to each other on the map so give that headline writer a break. /s

At least they didn’t put a (D) after Brownback’s name.

This is what you get when ideology trumps reality.

This is what Kansasans(?) voted for. They own it.

Conservatives - go ask your boss for a 25% pay cut. You’ll make way more money. Try it!

Our hearts should go out to all the poor Kansas state Republican legislators suffering all because of Brownback.

Maybe Brownback could borrow some magic asterisks from whiz-kid Paul Ryan. That’s how he balances his would-be budget.

p.s.: It’s not Kentucky; its Brownbackistan.

Golly, unfcking up something is normally a lot tougher than fcking up something in the first place.
