Discussion for article #237766
Personally, I hate hearing people say “n-word”, and I especially hate seeing them write it in posts and comments. If you have a reason for using the word, just use it. If people feel that your use of it was inappropriate, let them call you on it, start a discussion about it.
You don’t remove the power from the word by treating everyone like children, I mean it’s not Voldemort for f-word’s sake!
Ms. Kyle understood it completely in the way that President Obama was intending it be used and seemed to understand his broader point. Fox of course being Fox found a black man who completely missed the point and ironically, by being so far off-base, helped to prove Obama’s point. I’m even inclined to believe Mr. Payne didn’t even actually hear Obama’s statement.
Fox seems to have cornered the market on deeply stupid people.
Well, the only N-word that applied to the men on this panel is “Numbskull”…
Yes, she did and I must say I was surprised and pleased at the same time. Did heads explode at Fox?
I am sure President Obama is very relieved to know that he has her approval on this one.
And the Right Wing mouthpiece, Fox Noise, just drones on and on and on and on about the President’s use of the word, in order to AVOID discussing any of the substantive issues he was talking about!
How long do we have to put up with this repulsive right-wing propaganda tool being able to misuse the public airwaves to lie without stop??
Payne/Tarrantos/FOX act like children in their bought-and-paid-for contrariness. If Obama had said ‘N-word’ instead of ‘nigger,’ they would have faulted him for being afraid of a word and proper context. They will always act like children, spinning into dizziness, thinking the resultant heady feeling is intellectualism.
A reasonable enough thing to say, but in that swamp of prevaricating and fatuous putzes she sounds like John Stuart Mill.
Sorry about her husband and all, but we care what she says why?
NEWS FLASH: People Who Use Phrase ‘N-Word’ To Describe Black People Get Upset That President Used Actual N-Word!
For a few months I worked at customer site, and in the break room they had Fox News 24/7 (remote was lost). I had the misfortune of having to listen to these Outnumbered witches at lunchtime for weeks (until I realized that there was another break room upstairs, with a TV that you could change channels).
Other than never seen on TV somebody as mean spirited Andrea Tantaros (my daughter claims that there are dozens just like it in her Middle School), something that called my attention were the ads, they were all directed to old people (old men?), all kinds of medications, including ED, hearing aid devices, Medicare D plans, reverse mortgages and gold.
No wonder these ladies have to sit there in there short skirts with their legs crossed, they are part of the Viagra ad.
And that’s the last we’ll see of her on Fox News.
I am sure they were unhappy with her because she didn’t get her panties in a bunch of this and it didn’t fit their narrative. She seems like she can think for herself and not be subject to dogma. Glad she did it.
Oh for God’s sake, they’re still harping on this non-issue over at Fox News? I guess I didn’t expect anything less, as long as they’ve got angry old idiots to keep fake outraged, but what the hell does the wife of Chris Kyle have to do with it, or anything? Fox News is so pathetically dumb now the only reason I get angry about them anymore is because people watch this garbage and can’t see how manipulative and just plain stupid it is.
“This is the lyrics that all kids listen to,” Payne said. “It’s crazy! It’s nuts!”
They all listen to that "rappin’’ music, n# this and n# that, pants dragging on the ground. Get off my lawn!!!
The only reason I wish the president hadn’t used it is because of this. It became a predictable distraction that FOX/GOP – and even some moderates – can rant/pontificate about and veer the conversation far away from guns. Look, I’m glad there’s action on removing the Confederation flag from buildings, Amazon, Walmart, wherever. It’s a vile symbol. But nobody is talking about the instrument Roof used to easily murder nine people and how we can possibly put some common sense laws in place that could help stop even one of these horrible crimes.
Tantaros is mean-spirited, and seems like she’s genuinely just not very bright to me.
I know, right? Why is she even being asked this question? and WTF was that entire segment about? I feel like I just watched something Chekhov might have written.
