Schumer is as lame as they come: Instead of calling for Trump’s impeachment for pretty much firing Sessions, Schumer soft pedals and kisses Trump’s criminal act by saying Whitaker only needs to recuse himself from the investigation. That leaves Whitaker able to take Mueller’s budget and basically kill the investigation.
Mueller totally got out foxed…he has more than enough evidence to subpoena and implicate Trump and instead he didn’t let the evidence drive things…he let the political calendar destroy any hope of a complete investigation and complete prosecution. Basically, Mueller proving he is a longstanding Republican…an honest prosecutor would never have done this kind of foot dragging.

Schumer calls for Trump’s impeachment with no investigation and no support from Rs. It is widely derided as political theater. Maybe he manages to get the House to go along. And then it dies in the Senate because the support wasn’t there.

Seriously, don’t be ridiculous. Mueller and everyone else knew that Trump was going to fire Sessions after the midterms, since he all but announced it. There was no foxing, let alone outfoxing going on here. So what will Mueller’s strategy be? I have no idea, any more than you do. But you can be assured there is one and that, as always, it is not going to be leaked to the press.
