Make some calls people, because the GOP will never, ever, give up this fight and while the Senate may be harder to come around, I don’t trust Mitch one iota (not to mention, it’s nice giving Ryan and Trump a steady stream of failures).

Does this magical bill that increases coverage, reduces deductibles and doesn’t exclude people with pre-existing conditions exist yet, or is this going to be another case of last-minute, dark of night lawmaking?

I find it hard to believe those cowards would actually take a vote. To have it on record they voted to throw 24 million people off health ins. You think the town halls are rowdy now? Ha. They will be torn limb from limb. We shall see if they are willing to do that for the almighty Trump.

PLEASE pass it NOW! Enough with this death by a 1000 cuts bullshit.

When a few million Trump supporters suddenly find themselves in the ER uninsured, uninsurable, or having impossibly prohibitive deductibles for junk insurance and facing bankruptcy for that compound fracture their kid had… the barbarians will finally be at the gates with pitchforks and torches wanting to roast Trumph’s chestnuts.

But,but.but… Pence said it would before the end of the year ?

(OK, ‘this week’ is technically “before the end the year”, but that was not how I read Pence )

What is it with the WH messaging ?

Somewhat OT: here is what giving the reins of power to Sanders would portend for the Democrats.

America is basically a centrist nation.
Always has been.

We see how damaging the far right is in terms of governing, and there is little difference between them and the far left when you talk about rigidity and lack of ability to compromise.

The Democratic Party needs members that span the political spectrum in order to serve the broadest range of the overall populace.

They don’t have the votes nor do they want them. Actual passage of a repeal would be a disaster for the GOP. It’s a great rallying cry. A great way to gin up the rubes. But there’s no way to hide the truth in it if you do it. No, they don’t have the votes because they don’t want them.

Please. Those mouth breathing troglodytes will still blame Obama.

The Democratic Party needs a constituency that votes. They’re fine if they get that.

Now’s when I wish I believed in a god so I could pray Donald held his breath until they repealed it and she might choose to answer my prayer.

Which requires a broad spectrum of beliefs.

I love what you just said.

And, yes @richardinjax, all of us need to show up and vote.

It’s Monday. Which means they announce they’re gonna repeal the ACA this week. They’re just like those people who start their diets every Monday.

“This is it,” an administration official told Politico. “We get it done now, or we don’t get it done ever.”

Last chance! Final offer! Sale ends today! Hurry, hurry, hurry!

Pick any list of classic high-pressure sales techniques favored by scammers, and you’ll find that Trump uses them all. Artificial time pressure, extravagant claims, plays to emotion, ingratiating charm… salesmanship is all he’s got, it’s all he knows.

“Do we have the votes for health care? I think we do,” Cohn said Monday.

No, what Cohn meant to ask is, “Do we have the votes for eliminating health care for 24 million Americans?”

Bottom line: If the WH gets its Obamacare repeal in its current form, millions of people will die.

They can make sense (go single-payer) or they can make lifelong enemies among their constituencies. That’s the real bottom line.

Is any Republican willing to drop their support from their major donors, insurance companies?

Of course this could all be solved simply by refusing to accept donations from corporations, who, strictly speaking, can exist only by serving American policy by their actions.
