Discussion: White House: 'Premature' To Talk Gun Control In Wake Of Las Vegas Shooting

Wun Phat Dong

Hmmm… Sarah might be interested now.

begs the question “when is the MATURE time to have this discussion?”

Doing nothing. That has a real impact and they are really good at it too.

The average American (or human being anywhere in the world) should never be exposed to fully automatic gunfire unless they are combatants in a war. However, this is America. Nothing new here . . .

After the dead are buried and wounded heal, thousands of families will be dealing with those family members with PTSD. The ripple effects of this cowardly act will resonate for years.

It’s about a 15-20 minute drive from south Chicago to Gary, Indiana and the gun laws are fairly lax in Indiana. It’s also about a 15-20 minute drive from Gary, Indiana to the south side of Chicago. If the market for guns is in Chicago, the guns will migrate there. It’s the invisible hand of the free market at work.

Sanders brought up violent crime in Chicago [saying] "They have the strictest gun laws in the country, that certainly hasn’t helped there.”

  • Not Guns.

Asks that question.

Begging the question is a logical fallacy in which the conclusion is stated as part of the premise.
It does not involve an actual question.

“How many deaths will it take
to know that too many people have died?”
Bob Dylan
(but i am positive Sarah has never really listened to the words)

“Premature to talk of gun control”

I certainly hope they’re trying to teach him, but I doubt it.

“It dishonors the dead and wounded to talk now about preventing them being dead and wounded.”

But, just as much humanity as that filter feeder… or nearly as much.

Well, then, how about after the Lawrence shooting?

What’s that, you say?

Oh, just three innocent people dead in a hail of rapid-fire bullets, gunman still on the loose, in Lawrence, KS, near the University there. Happened on Sunday, so completely drowned out by the other news.

This kind of thing is happening every fricking day. When is a good time to have The Talk, please tell me that?

So Sarah, when is the time right for the discussion?

Sarah: How about never? Does never work for you?

Sanders said that “there’s a time and place for a political debate, but now is the time to unite as a country.

And just like that, an uexpected opportunity is now gone.

Oh well

Had the shooter been Mexican or Muslim, I’m betting that “premature”. BS wouldn’t apply. Trumpsters would be crawling over themselves to belch about building a wall or screaming Islamic Terrorism!

Hey. Sarah might know when we can talk gun control… I mean she looks intelligent enough.

It’s not premature, you tool. It’s way long past due. Ban automatic rifles.

I think that there’s a time for that to happen.”

Since pigs have already flown (charter), are we waiting for Hell to freeze over?
