- Congress should enact a law requiring that any officials al participating in NSC principals meeting be confirmed.
Anyone with a brain ought to boycott any meeting with Bannon present.
I hope there are real NSC meetings held by Pence with the qualified people conducted in secret. We already know the CIA, NSA, and non-New York FBI don’t trust Trump not to leak their secrets.
How in the name of any sort of reason do you not include the chairman of the joint chiefs in every security counsel meeting? Oh, that’s right, because there’s no reason involved. Trump and Bannon just want to make sure there isn’t anyone who might disagree with their plots and point out that they have no idea what they are doing.
- Congress should require that the DNI and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staffs be notified of, and entitled, at their own option, to attend any and all meetings of the principals of the NSC.
That has sent shockwaves through DC I think. They aren’t going to run around with their hair on fire in front of the public, they always want to keep us calm. But that just turned everyone’s world in DC upside down.
How about that they just need to pass the same background check as any other civil servant?

Now the NSCPG is a closed circle of Trump + his body men.
At that level? No, the Congress should have a say and a public hearing on qualification and fitness should be held.
This is nothing short of a coup. Get the Intelligence community AND the Military out of the loop so Bannon can fuck with the rest of the world as he pleases.
What power Bannon has over Trump! On the travel ban, it was Bannon who over-ruled Homeland Security and said even green card holders must be scrutinized before coming back into US.
Because he was appointed by Obama.
Well if it is a coup, it’s Bannon vs. the entire intelligence and military community of the US and I doubt Bannon wins.
At least Reagan had the decency to set up a parallel operation in the WH when the main line operation didn’t suit him.
