I am still of the opinion that if the Senate passes the Trump plan, it still wouldn’t become law… The R’s in the house don’t like 1.8 million getting amnesty. And even if the R’s in the house did pass it there’s a chance that Trump would veto it.

That is a result of the never ending stream. When caught in a riptide do not swim against it, swim perpendicular to it, once out of the flow then swim towards the beach. Recognize that the tide will turn and we can survive as long as we don’t drown first.

Dear President Trump,

Let me put this in words you will understand.
Your plan FAILED to get a majority of Republicans which means you are a WEAK SAD FAILURE.

All I can say at this point is, shut the f*ck up. I think that should be default response to anything that come out of tRump’s mouth.

the White House claimed that Democrats who voted against the hard-line immigration bill backed by Trump were “radical” and part of an “open border fringe.”
This is all the Trumpists sitting in front of their idiot boxes will absorb. The Trumpublicans in Congress need to be excised and replace by people who love the constitution and the will of the American People.

Sorry donnie dipshit, but the name “Schumer” just doesn’t rile your retrograde base up with hatred like the names Clinton or Obama, as much as you wish it would.

(of course I’m sure SOME of his deplorables really, really don’t like Schumer, they just can’t say why. Publically.)

The Trumpublicans in Congress need to be excised and replace by people who love the constitution and the will of the American People.

And the best way to do that is this upcoming mid-term election must be the biggest turn out ever! All those that only turn up to vote every four years need to have their own Christmas Carol ghosts visits. If we can’t encourage turn out then scare the shit out of them.

I wouldn’t count on that. Schumer is Jewish, you know. It’s a dog whistle to his neo-Nazi base.

WTF is the open border fringe? I think I have one on a table cloth.

So, do you think Americans will notice that Republicans control the White House and Republicans control both houses of Congress?

This morning, I listened to Chris Coons, as decent a fellow as you’ll find in the Senate, break the news that the bill that got the most votes, which he co-sponsored with McCain and ticked all the boxes Trump had laid out, failed because, when it looked like it might hit 60, Trump issued a veto threat and his DHS people started working the phones to kill it. All rather obviously orchestrated by Kelly.

But that’s not what killed me. What killed me is the fact that Coons and McCain assiduiously worked to put together a bill that would garner bipartisan support and meet all the requirements Trump had laid down and then were shocked and disappointed when the inevitable happened. Coons was there in his characteristically touching if exasperating milquetoasty way ticking off boxes on his own milktoasty talking points that all boiled down to “we are all just very, very disappointed that this shocking thing happened.”

And I’m like, “what the actual fuck? It’s February, 2018 and you idiots, on both sides of the aisle apparantly, actually, for real, expected good faith from them? You actually took them at their word, didn’t think they’d just change their demands if it looked like you could meet them, thought shame, fear of being seen as hypocrites, normal political constraints or magic pixies would make any other result possible? You really thought there was a sufficient chance that they weren’t acting, and wouldn’t act, in the utmost bad faith, bad faith of the erratic, mercurial, capricious, malicious kind, that you put serious work into this? In February, 2018, you really thought you could make him act normal and sane by treating him as normal and sane? Really?”

For God’s sake, even McConnell seemed sincerely surprised and disappointed that Trump would really shit all over his burning need to get something accomplished other than tax cuts for rich people and assfuckings for the poor going into November.

Over the last few months, since the fall, we’ve seen the sheer need to get the basics done, and the relentless, wearying unchecked firehose of abnormality and madness has worn us, and them, all down to the point where we’ve slowly given up on resistance and bowed to abnormality as the new normal and started treating him like a president because we can’t function without a president. But, of course, that isn’t going to work because he’s got a malignant personality disorder combined with stupidity, pathological dishonesty, and a total lack of concern for actually doing the job or learning what the job is.

Until they all get it through their heads that they will never get anything but bad faith for the sake of bad faith and lies even when the truth would serve them better, and, above all, stupidity from this malignant, stupid, lying, self-deluding blight on the nation, everything they do will be a waste of time and a distraction from what their real job is, which is setting him up for removal.
