Discussion: White House Aide Says He's 'Not Aware' Of Any Intent By Trump To Fire Mueller

and replay the Lawrence O’Donnell interview with Michael Wolff, discussing the first Times report.
He says at 5:30 the constant threats about Comey turned into an accidental firing. Trumps aids are supposed to deflect the constant “blather” …He fired Mueller 200 times in the first month.
Wolff is worried the blather will make Mueller’s job of proving “intent” more difficult. He’s got an interesting quote from Bannon before the 16:16 conclusion.

ahh, khyber900 posted while I was reviewing…

And this means what exactly? Is there a particular reason to believe the director of legislative affairs would have been privy to the deliberations and decision?

No?

You mean to say his statement was an empty and pointless acknowledgement of his own ignorance on the matter?

That’s what I thought.

I’d say he was parsing language but he’s never seemed that bright. Two eye blinks short of brain dead.

But of course: an aide in a Nazi-curious, venal and scumbag administration is going to tell the truth to a Nazi-curious, venal and scumbag “news” network.

Good to know you and others have noticed.
There is an opinion piece on cnn.com saying all trump need do is plead the 5th and he walks cuz nothing can be definitively proven. I was ready to kill my laptop when I read the piece. It’s so bad I’ll not even post a specific link to it. I hate open and deliberate stupidity that much. So if anyone wants to read it just go to cnn.com and you’ll find it.

The tidal wave of orchestrated bullshit disclaimers to pretend he did not try to fire him last June and is not still continuously and actively lobbying for the firing. Disclaimer that includes one of Donald Trump’s many consciousness of guilt pretexts for hating the investigation of his treasonous Russian Intelligence Collaboration in setting up a Quisling Presidency. But delivered by a Hallmark Card writer.

This is what the 2017-2018 version of the Watergate Cover Up looks like.

His statement probably was intended to imply that the NYT (and everyone else’s) report was false. What it actually implied was that Marc Short is blithely unaware of what is going on around him and probably isn’t suited to the job he’s in.

This guy is Charles Koch’s inside man at the White House (well: Charles Koch has a lot of those, including the vice president of the United States and two thirds of the idiot king’s Cabinet, plus a lot of legal and staff advisers: but Marc Short is one of the big ones). So if you want to know where Charles Koch plans to let Donald take the country, you could do worse than listen to Marc Short.

There’s some careful hedging and parsing going on inside Short’s statement here. Clearly, Charles Koch wants to be able to liberate Donald to fire Mueller as necessary, but he also wants to tamp down some of the fireworks that came out of that Times story about Don McGahn’s panic attack.

It’s all somethin’ else. The last iteration of fascists, back in the 1930s, had to resort to bloody world war, mass bombing, and the deaths of tens of millions, in their ferocious effort to destroy democracy. I suppose the bloodless overthrow of democracy is an improvement over world war. One has to hand it to Charles Koch–he realized it could be done without firing a shot, simply by buying up the entire Republican Party and flooding the country with round-the-clock agitprop.

So here we all are. And we’ll simply have to wait and see what happens with Mueller. It’s up to Koch.

Do these guys all TRY to look like villains in a comic book?

So, dude, the story has been confirmed by a dozen news agencies INCLUDING Fox News, so you’re pretty much a liar or just stupid.
