Discussion: What Endorsement? Ryan Is About To Roll Out His Counter Message To Trump

Absolutely. Paul Ryan can’t let Trump ruin the country with amoral, vulgarian, short-fingered whimsy. It takes careful and meticulous planning to ruin a country and the GOP is up to the task.

The plans are not intended to be legislation that the GOP-controlled Congress actually votes on. Instead, they are supposed to give voters a sense of what Republicans stand for

So, in other words, a political charade. Like endorsing Trump, but not really endorsing him. Like voting against the ACA umpteen times. Like not passing a budget.

Psst…Paul. You know you’re Speaker, right? You know you can get a vote at the drop of a hat? Go ahead…put your money where you’re mouth is. Let’s see how people feel about deep cuts to SS and MCR.

Classic bait-and-switch.

Oh, right, that makes sense: with Trump at the top of the heap, that’s now the Party Motto.

If the GOP actually have to abandon Trump, can we call it a reverse bait and switch?

Mr Speaker a question: considering republicans have been in charge of congress why haven’t they just passed these ideas and positions as law and send them to the President? Isn’t that much more of a statement than just talking about it?

Oh right because Republicans are no longer capable of governance.

Paul…I think your Better Way sounds an awful lot like the drivel dribble your staff “wonks” have been churning out for the past four years since you lost as VP…an alternative to Obamacare that never materializes and pieces of it that turn out to reduce coverage and increase costs, tax plans that ALWAYS and with magic beans, turn out to give sweeping cuts to the wealthy while reducing safety net coverage for the middle class.

I wish the media would focus as much real attention on the reality behind your “plans” as they appear to now be doing with Trump and his “positions.” It is clear that your relationship with Donald is one of trying to make it appear you are supportive, while doing everything you can to capitalize from the disastrous damage you know he is going to create for your party. Classy Paul…real profile in courage you got going there.

Honeymoon already over! ~snort!~ Ryan will have to change his name to Paul Kardashian.

Careful Lil’ Pauly…Trump may yet have to shoot you in the face on 5th Avenue.

Oh fuck it! Let’s sum up the Republican Party as of this moment:
(A) Ayn (B) Swine © Cry ____ Fear!

Ayn Rand lover Paul Ryan
Needed support to further his lyin’.
He took out his stump pump
And pleasured old Trump,
Which left the ol’ Mango a sighin’!

“the Republican Party is going to give the American people a plan that lets them know what the GOP stands for”

We already know, Paul. Your racist, misogynist, paternalistic, and deceitful rhetoric and actions are just a cover to keep the people from realizing your real policy is simply the upward redistribution of wealth.

Hey c’mon. Ryan is an ideas guy. Of course, his ideas haven’t changed since he lost the battle of ideas in 2012. But, sadly, he’s all they’ve got.

Because, who do you think he is, the Speaker of the god damned House or something?
