Yes it does. But the media tacitly approves of it so it won’t be a news story. They won’t confront the GOPers on this.
Thank you for sharing 2010’s “progressive” talking points on why you’ve always been right all along, as, of course, you always are and always will be. So refreshing.
It gets so that–if one has any sense at all–they should despise the MSM.
But most people dont’t
i’m so tired of the talking point: “worst economic recovery in modern times”
recovery from what? the worst recession since the great depression, under Bush’s watch?
and not to mention all the sabotage to recovery by the GOP, solely to prevent a black man from taking credit. jeez.
i think that the recovery is fine considering all the roadblocks.
Loyal F-U Obstructionist Opposition says ‘talk to the hand’. Not even.
We could have fixed our f ups much better than Barack H. Obama did. (Really?)
If only the Democrats would sit down and compromise with us. Their failure to do so has caused all this.
SNARK!
6 months of, we might shut the government down, followed by a quick and pathetic cave with Ryan sitting on a fence crying, It’s not my job…boohohoohoo.
The Republican view of the future is, how do we get through to the next obstruction that will carry us to the next obstruction.
In the meantime the Democrats will scratch out what they can for the nation with absolutely no input at all from the right.
Talking about a 4 trillion dollar budget is meaningless when half of the negotiation is, we hate everything about you Obama and want to usurp your power.
The anger displayed last night in New Hampshire should be directed toward Congress-The real culprit for our slow growth, low taxes on the rich, crumpling infrastructure, immigration problems, swift passage of the trade deal…
Yeah, and if that strategy depends on Democrats, keep dreaming man.
No fainting couch for me
I’m glad we’re returning to an actual two-party system. The one and only political principle of such a system is that the other party are bums who need throwing out. The Rs think Obama needs throwing out, and spit on his proposed budget? That’s both healthy and honest. What’s not healthy and honest is that our side doesn’t behave the same way.
I’d also start with the losers who voted in all the Tea Baggers because this is what they wanted. And for added fun, they cannot connect the dots. You will have a growing generation of maladroits who will blame all this on Obama because no Democrats are there to correct them.
actually, they preferred the cross back in the old days, and later burning at the stake, nowadays they just burn crosses at their lynchins and save all that confused symbolism for later…
PERFECT!
THE OBSTRUCTION TAIL NOW PERPETUALLY WAGS THE POLICY DOG!
Sorry I had to yell, but I’ve been trying to articulate this for a while now. Obstruction has BECOME them, it is no longer just one of their tools.
“…a stark reminder of how deep the resistance to Obama has become among Hill Republicans…”
HAS become? This started literally on Day One of Pres. Obama’s tenure in office, when GOPers met and agreed to oppose anything and everything he put forward; to deny him any opportunity to succeed, no matter what. The President might have appealed straight to Americans, making the case again and again and again that the GOP – in the depth of a recession-almost-depression wrought by a president and Congress of their own party – had put their own political advantage above the interests of the nation.
But Pres. Obama did not do this. He played the inside-Washington game, assumed the mantle of “President Nice Guy” and tried to negotiate. That was fine early on. But after the GOP’s engineered obstruction became so obvious, he failed to play Educator in Chief, failed to go around the Beltway media to inform Americans about the consequences of GOP obstruction and lay blame where it belonged. This, in turn, robbed the Democrats of the most compelling electoral rationale they might have in subsequent elections, which further entrenched the GOP…
And we wonder why grassroots Democrats are flocking to the fighter Bernie Sanders?
Every time I hear one of them declare :“The South’s Gonna Rise Again!” I ask them who’s gonna’ be their slaves this time around…
…tends to end the conversation quickly.
It’s a little worse than that: more like the arsonists who complain when the firefighters arrive to put out the blaze.
The ugly disgusting truth. It makes me sick to my stomach. We can’t let these people anywhere near the WH
It’s not congress, it just Obama that not doing a damn thing. That’s why we need a Republican President. Funny how in NC the we have an R governor and legislature and they still have trouble getting stuff done because some folks are so right wing and won’t budge unless they get everything they want.
