Nice work. Good coursing, small stones used for shape modification, not chinking.
Well of course they are. Transparently draining the swamp.
They’re draining every other swamp in the country to fill in the White House.
Some day, Mulvaney is going to be out of office.
Note to TPM: Article’s should never have the words “Trump” and “ethics” in the same sentence, unless “has absolutely no” is also included. “Or lack thereof” could also be substituted.
“…high mutual standard of ethics.”
Cue the laughing chimp. please.
An executive order signed by President Trump bars lobbyists from working in the federal government on issues pertaining to their former clients for two years, but allows the administration to issue waivers.
I would hope this is being challenged in court. Basically, is says “Trump gets to decide if, when and where (on whom) said EO applies.” JFC, talk about a weirdly worded power grab under the guise of “draining the swamp.”
Apparently the weekend is over and it’s Monday…
Also “inherent hostility towards” or “attempted flouting of”.
The White House will continue to ignore the OGE with impunity. After all, who’s to stop them?
As far as that goes, who’s to stop this White House for blatantly ignoring any rules or regs or laws it doesn’t like? Not a Justice Department run by Jeff Sessions. Not a Congress run by Mitch McConnell and Paul Ryan.
Unless (or until) Trump’s approval numbers drop below, say 30%, he’s safe to do anything and everything.
Same shit sandwich, different day.
More corruption cover up!
Apparently, this administration thinks that rules of ethics should apply to others, like the new special counsel, but not to them.
Stinks all the way out here on the West coast.
But tomorrow’s will be even more bigly and beautifuller, and tastier too… Believe me…
If you hadn’t given so many waivers and hired so many lobbyists perhaps the request for documents wouldn’t seem so expansive and the timetable not so breathless. Did someone say “Drain the swamp?” Ha!
Stalling can work. It worked for Mitch McConnell on the SCOTUS theft. I suppose it’s worth a try.
