I think that one’s going to fade away. They have gone to written responses to interrogatories (discovery?) in the Summer Zervos suit however.

I’m amazed at how politically idiotic this administration can be. Back in 1991 during the Thomas hearings 85 percent of the women in the country were saying, “They just don’t get it.” And some of us have learned nothing since. Women getting disgusted and running for office is a big part of the blue wave–I see it right at home. Questioning the decision of a traumatized teenager is going to enrage every decent-hearted, fair-minded person in this country even further than they already are. They just don’t get it, and never will, some of them.
I just say

Women just love it when you slut shame them for complaining about assault.

AND she’d been drinking and she was afraid her parents would find out that she’d been at a party and drinking.
I thank God again for parents who understood that teens are teens, and prone to do stupid shit. When I reached the age of parties, my parents laid out some rules and promises:
- Never, never, ever drive drunk.
- Never, never, ever ride in a car with a driver who has been drinking.
- If you want to drink, drink at home.
- If you want to drink with your friends, drink here.
- If you’re at a party and you’ve been drinking and you need a ride call home. We will come get you, no questions asked.
When it comes to rallying your base and firming up support in Congress, you can’t go wrong smearing a woman.
Pretty sure someone who is willing to publicly testify under oath, has notes from a therapist that was taken years ago, and was willing to tell the FBI what happened and under a polygraph is not making shit up. I mean, god dam that is a lot of shit.
