Questions, I have Questions.
It’s not just him, or even him and his family. How many people on “his team” are staying at this place and Mar-a-Lago or his other clubs (in addition to the Secret Service people)? And how much extra does it cost us every time he decides he needs a weekend (usually a 3 or 4 day weekend) away and takes “his team” with him to make it look like he’s working?
Also, are these properties protected by Secret Service or other public employees when he’s not around? I know Trump Tower is, but what about Mar-a-Lago and his other clubs with his name plastered all over them? Are we paying for that too?
And, how in dog’s name does it save the taxpayers any money for him to stay in Jersey when Trump Tower still has to be protected 24/7? It’s just another location that requires advance scouting and security preparation.

Absolutely. It’s actually required by law if they use private facilities, in order to avoid improper “gifts” and the appearance of impropriety.

Only a Republican mind can save the taxpayer’s money by traveling away from the White House and can save people’s health by raising their rates and/or restricting/eliminating their coverage. But hey, they have ACCESS to health care, just can’t get past the velvet rope.

Actually controlling travel and security costs are two things a president does have direct control of. The cost of Air Force One is around $200,000/hour in the air. Then there’s the motorcade and security people costs’ Had he stayed in DC there would be some savings that could be used to find at least one person a kidney transplant or an MRI. But, DJT doesn’t spend time thinking of things like that.
