Discussion: WH Says NK Threatening To Withdraw From Talks Was 'Fully Expected'

It’s run by Patrick Non-White of Popehat. Lots of people seem to having a hard time telling it’s a parody though despite the rather obvious nature of most of them.

Translation: "We will find out as soon as you do what the fuck this maniac is going to say and do. And then we will learn when you do, what Kim Jong-un will do too.

See these new pants? All White House and State Department staff are wearing them. They’re made especially for flying by the seat. Mine are purple!!"

Already giving the upper-hand. “If they want to meet, we’ll be there on our knees. If they don’t, we’ll wait like sad puppies.”

Kim specifically noted National Security Adviser John Bolton’s talk of following the “Libyan model” for disarmament in North Korea: Libya disarmed and complied with international inspections, but, left unsaid by Bolton, its dictator was later violently murdered in the streets.

Bolton is a dolt. Pro tip: When negotiating with paranoid dictator do not remind him of Quaddafi’s fate. – panics dictator and/or provides cover for stiffing further cooperation.

And they did it immediately after he said he wouldn’t be played like his predecessors. Does this administration understand irony? Probably not.

But he thought it would scare him to the table with a longer list of concessions. New name Dolt Bolton. I kind of like the sound of it.

What did Bolton think would happen?

If Trump is the guy we see on TV, Bolton is now starring as the fall guy for why Trump didn’t get a Nobel.

I saw Bolton defending the Iraq war in a panel debate setting on Canadian TV. He was quite stupid.

Im surprised NK didnt sight pompeos talking points…where he basically threatens NK if it doesnt completely denuclearize…or maybe NK is beating on using Pompeo to get its way with trump

“And we’ll continue with the campaign of maximum pressure if that’s the case."

That’s Donnie’s favorite negotiating strategy, after all – twist their arm until you extort the wanted outcome.
Like in the ‘trade war’ with China and the investment in Drumpf’s Indonesian development.
Or, the blockade of Qatar and favors for the administration (loans and silence with Mueller, that we know of.)
Does anyone else think we might have a precedent who uses the full power of the US government for his personal protection, aggrandizement and enrichment? Kinda like, oh, expecting the DOJ to protect him from prosecution.

Every day of the Trumpp admin, I’m reminded of Baghdad Bob, including such gems as:

“Yes, the American troops have advanced further. This will only make it easier for us to defeat them”

and

Any apparent American gains, he said, were a cunning ploy by the Iraqis to lure the enemy into a trap. “Our armed forces, according to their tactics, are leaving the way open”

Edited to add his post-war defense of his apparent inaccuracies:

“My information was correct, but my interpretations were not”

She has a smokiness about her, perhaps related to the usual state of her pants.

“As we all know that you’re aware, he’s the best negotiator.”

Good ol’ SHS, trying her damndest to keep the myth of “trump, the great negotiator” alive, even though there is zero evidence to support it.

She could come out and say “As we all know that you’re aware, he’s the greatest Flamenco dancer in history.”

It would have the same effect.

That struck me as so funny - the thought of Trump as a flamenco dancer :joy: :joy:

thanks for the laugh
