Discussion: WH Has Reportedly Backed Down From Trump's Border Wall Funding Threat

White House officials told members of Congress that they will not push for the $1.6 billion in wall funding in the short-term bill that must be passed in September, but will instead demand that it be included in a December bill to fund the government

Of course, just in time to screw all the government employees, social security recipients, etc. for the Christmas holidays. That is what I call holiday spirit!

I hope I’m wrong, but knowing Trump’s need to save face and act tough, he will end DACA.

Charlie, I got some competition for ya:

This is my dog Murphy. She is a Red Tick Coonhound and her breed is built to bark and howl given the right stimulus. She and I visit a dog park most mornings so she can socialize with her friends, She’s got a reputation y’see for a LOUD bark. I suspect 100 db at 6 feet if not more (never actually measured it tho).

Izzat because of the hard right wingers in the House that are demanding something be cut to manage the tax cuts fir the rich? Or is it a technical reason? Like getting it with 51 votes vs 60?

Gotta give credit where credit is due. He is really good at backing down.

Also really good at un-backing-down in a humiliation rage.

So let’s see: Use tax dollars, secret service, etc., for a totally unnecessary, ego-massaging rally of deplorables where you rant and rave about all the things you’re going to do and then … don’t. Rinse and repeat. I’m waiting for the tweet that will blame this on Congress/Harvey/Dems/Obama.

n he’s likely going to back down again. If Irma has the same punching power as Harvey, then its going to funny as hell watching this version of ‘1600’ try to justify wall funding.

Trump: To my supporters and Fauxies, I will never back down. This is just Fake Media making it up.
Trump, To Ayn Rand: Do whatever you need to do. I dont want my rich friends complaining to me.

The House has scheduled 12 days “in session” for September.
Not many days to get a whole lotta important stuff done.
