Discussion: WaPo: White House Doctor Hesitated To Take On Job As Head Of VA

Op-ed from Shulkin in today’s NYT laying out the case he was doing a very good job in an agency full of problems. Also NYT editorial today making the case this is the first step in privatizing the VA and throwing 9 million veterans who are cared for at 1200 hospitals into the private sector which would overwhelm it.

Trump continues to equate “highly qualified” with displaying absolute loyalty to HIM.

Barr has said it was “working class” people who voted for PP. It wasn’t. Their median income was $72.000, and HTC’s voters was $61,000. Roxane Gay the feminist writer and all around wise woman watched the first two episodes, is not going to watch anymore of what she called a “toxic mess.”

I don’t think it’s funny actually, so it’s easy for me to skip it.

Yeah, but you decided to take the high dive into the pool of rancid shit anyway, didn’t ya Ronnie?

Yeah Dr Ronny Ronnie did that when he went on TV and lied like a rug about Spanky’s health.

This is the payoff.

I have also thought this was the case…a set-up

Recommended for “Captain Kangaroo’s Evil Twin” alone.

PP named his family event planner to an important post at HUD, he floated the idea of putting his personal pilot in charge of the FAA, and his son-in-law is going to negotiate a long lasting peace settlement in the Middle East. Nothing wrong with that.

I’d pray, but the only time I ever did that I soon ran out of Viagra.

…as if Trump had a second choice.

Yeah, or it’s like proposing the guy flying your airplane to head the FAA because, you know, the guy can fly a airplane .

You are right butTrump-aholics will cling to the mantra that they are better off with their “hey, he’s one of us” idol than that satin-worshipping LIBERAL, Hillary Clinton. You know, how good a job could she have done from the jail?

They are addicted to who they think Trump is (and did they fall for the con) and will remain in denial until something clicks that wakes them up to see reality. For example, if Trump has to come clean on Fox TV about Stormy et al.

Obviously, he didn’t hesitate long enough … I think this is what will happen - he will be a major screw-up in the job (shock, shock) and that will allow Hair Furor and the Republicans to convince everyone that the VA needs to be privatized as the government is unable to run such an important enterprise … which would turn the VA into something probably worse than the Private Prison Racket … SMH

The show was always mean-spirited. Even as a kid, I couldn’t understand why people exposed themselves to it, like it was radioactive.

I actually see the return of Roseann as another sign of the times. The Trump era is mean-spirited, if nothing else.

Knowing PP’s incompetence at picking “the best people”, he’d probably ask one of the helicopter pilots who shuttle people around New York for sightseeing over the Hudson River. Captain Sullenberger they’re not.

You’re right - there is a very mean streak running through the show.

I think the name of that mean streak is: Roseanne Barr.

he “hesitated” !
If he had any sense, any decency, he would have refused.

Decency? This is Dr. Ronny Ronnie who said Trump could live to 200.

Reminds me of the Chinese Insurrection. The field workers were put in the place of doctors, and the doctors were made to work in the fields. Didn’t work well then too.
