Not necessarily the party has been cultified, and the cult leader made the demand - so what choice did she have?
Would he have mocked her name incessantly and been an asshole with cover of “just joking”. Or perhaps he was trying to get her to prove her loyalty to HIM over her family since Mitt RMoney is his arch rival (along with Obama and Hillary)? Or perhaps she felt pressure from the RNC new board member - Trump’s personal lawyer Michael Cohen.
Is she going to use “Huckabee” instead? “Conway”? “Hicks”? “Clinton”?

But I also remember Mitt - hat in hand - sacrificing his dignity and integrity by going to dinner with Trump at Jean-George’s, hoping to be selected for the Secretary of State position. I can’t really say she’s doing anything different. Selling your soul must be on the Romney family crest.

My take-away is that the Republican Civil War is really getting started. I’m pretty sure Mitt’s going to run, and yes will win and then form the nucleus of the “Never Trump” side of the battlefield. They’'ll likely get the Mercer money, et.al. and Trump will disappear with the indictments. He’ll probably still be a name for the mid-terms, but next Presidential cycle, it’ll be “Drumf did you say? Never heard of him. Wasn’t he a Democrat?”
The Red Rubes won’t buy it, but it’s possible the Democrats will make enough gaffs and blunders that they’ll piss off enough centrists and Bernie Bros (and with a bit more Russian help) that they hold on.
