I know the spooks have a set of technical terms they use for the various relationships. He’s not what we’d think of as an agent, certainly. There’s a precise term I can’t remember for a person who tries to help you, without necessarily having espionage skills. But a damn president who wants to help you is a hugely advantageous thing to have, whatever you want to term it.
