Is he so stupid that he doesn’t see how blatantly terrible this looks, or is he just hoping to bluster his way through it all by dint of his self-perceived personal charisma, or both? (I hope the interpreter doesn’t drink tea, and lives on the first floor of her building.)
Seems completely normal to me.
… and by normal — I mean — a normal / good cause to add to the bottom of the list of reasons to impeach the bastard already.
Um, I’m not sure at this point why anyone - even my dog - has a scintilla of doubt about what this man is. So we are left with the conclusion that 40% of the public chooses Vladimir Putin over America (and the Democrats of course). If they immigrated, we’d have plenty of room for the poor Central Americans who would give anything to become Americans citizens - and who would love their country.
When can we wake up from this nightmare? He is destroying this country and I lay this at Yertle’s doorstep.
“Yeah, he’s a crook, he’s a traitor, but at least he’s not a Democrat”
In today’s climate, Nixon would have gotten away with it. I don’t think Trump will.
40%? And is that 40% of the country or some percentage of republican voters?
Presidential Records act … something something …
Somewhat old news, but the reporting and summary of the extent of Trump hiding his talks with Putin, taking the interpreter’s notes, and keeping even his highest staff clueless is very disconcerting. On top of the recent revelations of FBI investigations of Trump as a Russian agent, Manafort sharing sensitive polling, Trump spilling classified info to the Russians in the oval office where he admitted firing Comey took the pressure off of him and Russia, Helsinki, etc., this is yet another mind-blower.
More to come.
I have previously commented that when it comes to Russia, Mr. Trump acts like a person “under hypnosis”. There is a chance that he may sometimes not even consciously realize what he is saying or doing. If that is not the case, the only plausible explanations become that he is either extremely neurotic or experiencing serious mental problems.
This speaks for itself.
I think it is 40% of the country and 80%+ of repugs. Very discouraging.
This man is perfectly OK with having a president who takes bribes, endangers the American interests both at home and abroad due to his business interests, and is the puppet of a hostile foreign power.
He will never spend a day in jail.
Two observations:
- Is anyone surprised? How could people have not expected this? It is significant to get the reporting and the leaking, but the fact itself–no one could have seriously thought, if they had thought about it amongst all the chaos, that he had complied with records requirements.
- Every GOP member of Congress, both houses, needs to be asked about this at every opportunity. Change up the formats of the questions, but they need to know that all their constituents are going to hear in their interviews is “why are you enabling treason? When are you going to do something about it?”
Someone here yesterday mentioned how he NEVER says a bad word about Putin - not a utterance of criticism. That’s pretty remarkable for this boor who has something nasty to say about everyone. The best he can do is “I’m tougher on Russia than any other President.” He is terrified of the man.
Republican voters like him by MUCH higher margins - like 70 or 80%. I’ll see if I can find a link.
Obviously the interpreter will be called to testify before the House. I hope it goes without saying that her testimony should be public. I would not be at all surprised if, like Comey and others put into a professional and moral bind by Trump’s misdeeds, she quickly made a note of what she’d heard. Unless she’s in cahoots with Trump, which can’t be ruled out but seems unlikely.
That’s 80% of 25% of people who now identify as republicans. I still think 40% sounds too high.
Got to lower that number though, whatever it is.
So much Wall.
Wall closing in on him here.
Wall closing in on him there.
Wall closing in on him from every direction.
Wall.
