Ya think so Donnie?

The gulf between der Furor and reality widens with each passing minute.
âTrump has said recently that he wants to cater to his base this time around, according to the Washington Post.â
This time?!?! Over turning every Obama initiative, pulling out the climate accord, provoking nuclear war. That base is dictating your every move while simultaneously steering the Country into irreparable harm.
Resist, remove!
He just thinks itâll give him an early vacation
âHeâs not advocating for a shutdown in any way. We want to make sure our military is funded. We want to make sure our priorities are funded. Thatâs why we invited [Democrats] over to have a conversation about a deal,â Short told reporters, per the Washington Post.
aka âDonât pay attention to the man behind the twitter feed.â
Sorry, Dude, you work for an impulsive troll - who has no sense but thinks he is a brilliant strategist. Weâve already seen the game. The instability/volatility comes 100% from the WH and the GOP in congress.
Criticism causes him unbearable pain, so he responds first with denial and then, if that doesnât work well enough, with delusion. This will get worse.
Given the state of our electorate and the media, Trump may be right in assuming that majority will lean towards blaming anyone but Trump.
The belief that Republicans will benefit from a shutdown seems to be one of those core beliefs of Republicanism untouchable by empirical evidence. Like âtax cuts for rich people pay for themselves because job creator confidence fairy blarghâ and the short, victorious war.
Come to think of it, though, Iâm hard-pressed to come up with anything Republicans claim to believe these days that doesnât fall into that category.
âShutting down the gubmint means the Mueller probe is done, right?â-Idiot in Chief

Dear Marc Short,
In the event of a government shutdown the military is still funded, as are all essential services. Either youâre a twit with a gnat-sized and defective brain, or youâre deliberately trying to mislead people. Which is it?
Love,
Ken in MN
Yeah, shutdown the government and then take Air Force one and a huge detachment of the SS to Mar-a-Lago at government expense, his base itâs going to love that.
Itâs unbelievable and yet itâs happening. Weâre watching him devolve on an hourly basis and his enablers - including every congressional GOPer save a few - are willing to risk the entire country to get tax cuts and prevent primary challenges.
These are not principled people.
As usual, it is always about HIM and how it will be good for HIM. There is never any consideration of how it will affect all the citizens who depend on the federal government performing its duties. OT, I have an acquaintance who is a staunch Repub who is upset by the repeal of Net Neutrality because it will have a big, possibly devastating impact on their online business. Connect the dots dearie, it all goes back to the people you have been voting for all your life. This is an intelligent person but I am not sure if any Repub can make the connection. Blame it on Obama or Clinton or Benghazi or something instead.

WaPo: Trump Told Friends A Government Shutdown Could Benefit Him
Donnie has friends?
It was the WaPoâs way to see if weâre paying attention. They almost got us, but you caught on! You are so right â Trump doesnât have friends ⌠accomplices, yeah sure, but friends no way.
Itâs like Trump really doesnât understand the concept that Republicans - his own party apparatchiks - are in charge of both branches of Congress, the Supreme Court, and, yâknow ⌠the Presidency.
The government shutdowns worked out well for Obama, didnât it? Boy is Trump going to be angry when he finds out it wonât work out so well for him. The dolt canât figure out the difference between the two situations.
Day after day, hour after hour, Donald J. Trump shows what a reprehensible POS he is with little or no understanding about government or the United States.
