Only of the fair weather variety.
Ron Johnson is busy ensuring that he and Trump will pay millions less in taxes (on top of the already absurd tax cuts) just in time for Trump to shut down the government so he can focus on his real job: screaming his innocence to members of his golf courses.
Meanwhile: states are starting to mail warning letters to parents whose kids are enrolled in CHIP.
Yet his strategy is almost always the same: Dissemble constantly, retweet racists, and, if it appears to be failing, āblame the Democrats.ā
Well said.
Who uses an old landline phone with a headset and cord to make calls anymore? I still see them in hotels but canāt recall the last time I used one. tramp loves to pose for pictures while holding a phone to his ear. I think it makes him look out of touch.
Hey, look! ā That skunk has an asshole on each end!!
āBlame it on the Democratsā Well, why not? Itās always worked before.
we do
Maybe not. His supporters may be loud and overwhelmingly stupid, but theyāre down to about 30%. Heās lost supporters since the election. But still he persists.
Thatās the Oval Office. We know his personal choice of device.
Thatās because he really isnāt a Republican, he is a party of one-Trump.
Ifstrong textf trumpf SHUTS DOWN the World will Benefit. Go away trumpf.
His pre-meeting tweet perfectly supports this report. He wanted to make up for the sin of dealing with the Dems on the last budget continuance so he sent a message that his base would like. The deal doesnāt matter. Itās the bluster that he and his minions crave.
Honestly, I was predicting that Trump would be the Republican presidential nominee as far back as June of 2015. All it required to get that one right was complete cynicism with respect to the GOP, and the realization that Trump is the perfect embodiment, the ne plus ultra, of right-wing/conservative/GOP values.
So, yes, I think Trump is really a Republican - and not just any Republican, but the most Republican of Modern Mainstream Republicansāā¢.
I think the true Trump supporters have dipped a bit, but not that much. They watch Fox News and think everything is wonderful. There is a second group of Trump voters, some of whom may have even been Obama voters who have soured on Trump. They are rightly worried about losing their health care and Getting screwed by the Trump tax scam. They were conned into thinking that maybe the Trump shake up would have some positive outcomes. When Trumps polls go down, it is almost always associated with health care being threatened. There is a third group of Trump supporters, some of whom may not have even voted for Trump, and who are aware that he is crazy, but they are in a position to greatly benefit from the corporate tax cuts and the demise of the consumer protection agency. These investors are tepidly backing Trump, at least until they get their tax cuts. If the government shuts down, they will be financially harmed. Interest rates and stocks will be affected. They will blame Trump, but they should also blame their own greed.
trumppās support right now is 38% according to fivethirtyeight.com, 39% at RCP but the fact is a president cannot command support for his programs with this level of support with those numbers. Only the Congress has less favorability ratings, but no oneās approved of them in decades. But we have approved of presidents, and those are the ones who get things done.
And the messed up part is that his base will gobble it right upā¦
Funny how the smashing of locomotives has always been a peculiarly American form of entertainment.
