Discussion: WaPo: Flynn Denied To FBI That He Discussed Sanctions With Russia

Ruh roh. Somebody’s been a very bad boy.

Lock him up.

“Former National Security Adviser Michael Flynn denied in a January interview with the FBI that he discussed sanctions with Russia’s ambassador to the United States.”

Last I heard, lying to the FBI was a felony (18 U.S.C. § 1001).

“Book 'em, Danno!”

Prior to November 8, 2016, this would have been what we used to call a “crime.”

How quaint.

The President just can’t stop lying… just minutes ago he was up on stage claiming Flynn did nothing wrong and that the whole thing was media driven. He is constitutionally incapable of speaking the truth.

How do you spell PERJURY?

As per Flynn his own self: “Lock. Him. Up.”

What the hell was he thinking? As Director of DIA - he knows Russians are monitored. He knew when they asked him, that they knew. So he lied, knowing that they would know the lie. Why. My guess is that once one is fully consumed by the conspiracy theory alternative realities - the moorings to real reality come loose. I imagine that he had created a new imaginary world of spooks, spies and evil Terrorists (and for real - he worked in the reality version of that world) - but now cast in a heroic role - one somehow linking Russia and the US for global security and good - such that either his intentions were so good (certainly they wouldn’t foil the hero) that they wouldn’t care that he lied - or he is so far unhinged that he forgot that they would know he was lying because he forgot that we monitor Russian diplomats phone calls. Live by the world that peddles Comet Pizza sex rings, and false flag fake deaths at Sandy Hook - and sooner or later the real world becomes less and less recognizable.

And this white house is chalk full of these conspiracy theory consumers (and hell with Bannon - conspiracy theory creators.)

Does it begin with F and end with N?

That seems like a…silly thing to say to someone who had a recording of your call.

I’ve been thinking about this. Whether we all live or die, the history books are going to reflect that America got fucking smoked in the First Great Cyber-War. We got our asses ***kicked!***. So props to Vladimir on that.

Yes, and that reminds me. Hillary did NOT lie to the FBI, so there was no reason to lock her up.

I hope all these scumbags end up in the steel hotel. Trump will have lots of reasons to complain, too.

“What he did wasn’t wrong,” Trump said. “I didn’t direct him, but I would have directed him if he didn’t do it, OK?”

Where to start?

Makes me wonder if WaPo had this information all day and decided to wait until after the presser to run it.

He committed a felony rather than admit what he was really doing. Isn’t that remarkable. And he discussed the sanctions at the behest of nobody in particular. That’s remarkable too.

Or got this information - to run with the story - in response to Trump’s claims in the presser that Flynn had done nothing wrong - it was the media’s fault!

“But NBC News’ Pete Williams reported Wednesday that the FBI does not believe Flynn will “face legal jeopardy.””

WTF!!! Oh I guess because about ten seconds after he was found guilty The creature would give him unconditional pardon…for the rest of his life for any infraction that may occur including running a red light!

This country is majorly F’d up!!

One of the Twitter spooks was wondering yesterday if “Flynn is just remarkably stupid or just remarkably arrogant?” It seemed like sort of an inside joke because the answer, obviously, is both.

“If I did 1/10th of what Hillary Clinton did I’d be in jail.”

Republican projection at its finest.
