Walmart caves to gun-hating liberals.

Of course, conservative, NRA-fellating rubes know that more liberals go to school, so they figure a school is just like a good hunting lease. When your family tree doesn’t fork, there are many things that can go wrong in your tiny mind.

Wait, why can’t you be a hero at your school when the Jihadists attack and you whip out your shotgun from your back pack and blast them?

To Walmart’s credit they did take the sign down and apologize.

But you got to wonder at the level of cluelessness on the part of whoever placed these things together. Or maybe whoever did it, may not have been an English speaker. Or could have been a special needs person.

But a manager should have picked up on it.

Just remember to shout: “WOLVERINES!”

That is one damned lame series of excuses to rationalize abhorrent behavior on the part of that Walmart store.

“This sign had no business there and was taken down as soon as we were alerted,” the company tweeted.

“We replaced it with the correct sign, which reads ‘Own your dark-skinned neighbors LIKE A HERO.’”

Or they let some black kid in, or someone might be gay. Need to be ready to blast away at any threat to Christian whiteness!

The issue here is that Walmart, a so-called “family” store, has no business selling instruments of death – that is, firearms. Wake up Waltons!

The defining characteristic of a Wal-Mart employee is not giving a fuck.

I’m pretty sure you’re looking at evidence.

What excuses? I hate Walmart like cancer (which, from an economic standpoint, it is), but they made no excuses, acknowledged it was terrible and took it down. And, knowing Walmart, probably fired whoever did it like Zorn in the Fifth Element firing a million when the president oasked him to fire 500,000. It was first rate PR debacle management, I must admit, especially from a company whose business strategy depends on PR debacles.

Have you ever been in a Walmart?

Probably a manager who put it up.

Meanwhile, Wild West Wayne and Dana the Fierce want to know what they have to say ANYTHING.

I thought DeVos cited Grizzly bears in her support for guns in schools?

ETA: Quote from khaaann for context.

Having worked in marketing and retail…that looks like intentional sign placement. Whoever did it thought it was a good idea…and were making a statement that guns should be allowed in school.

That is some weird shit.

Seriously, not to go all walmart bashing but their employees aren’t exactly the brightest people.

In corporate retail one must never ever change what the plan-o-gram tells you. Every promotion has signage, every signage has an assigned spot to placed on display in stores, failure to place signage where the plan-o-gram says it must go is grounds for being written up.
Now to be generous it may be that the plan-o-gram instructions were that “Own The School Year” signs must be place x amount feet from each other and the one over the shotgun display fell into the distance requirement. Or it could also be that each department must have in it x amount of promotional signage displayed.
God I worked in retail way too long.

But are we the Wolverines fighting the Chinese (enemy the 1st Red Dawn) or the Cubans (enemy in the 2nd)?
