Discussion: Walmart Apologizes For 'Terrible' 'Own The School Year' Sign Above Guns

Will we actually hear that the person who put it up was fired? I wonder. Frankly, many people who shop at that particular retail outlet probably applaud the sign’s placement and voted for the Orange Buffoon.

Walmart wasn’t always like this. Poor Sam.

@lastroth Where’s the smiley face sign that the prices for the guns have just dropped? Sheesh.

I won’t shop at Walmart, either. I also hate Costco.

I wasn’t talking about Walmart. My comment was directed at @plebeian tying to pawn it off as the act of a non-English speaker or special needs person then soft walking the manager who “should have picked up on it.”

Indeed. Walmart used to advertise, “we buy American when we can.”

His kids and grandkids see things differently I guess.

I agree. That doesn’t look haphazard to me.

They and Walmart’s stockholders are getting richer. Who cares about the poor, dumb employees.

I’m sure that was the argument that convinced Texas to allow college students to carry guns on campus.

I know everything has always revolved around money, but it seems people have become lustfully predatory in their pursuit of it.

Or maybe I’ve just been naive?

The NRA is so going to fist WalMart for caving to the libs. Can’t hardly wait to see Dana pop a coronary.

I think it’s the other way around. Patrick Swayze was kickin’ Russian and Cuban ass. Wolverines!

Completely OT, but has anyone else noticed Melania crossing her arms and leaning away from Trump during his “fire and fury” tirade?

It was the first thing I saw.

It seems like every day generates new candidates for world’s worst idea. I dream of a different kind of reality.

It’s been that way ever since money was invented.

But in terms of placement of signs, this is one of my all-time favorites:

This one’s not bad either:

I get to see this monstrosity when visiting family. I’m pretty sure the money could have been put to better use in the community.

I think “Own the School Year. They won’t be laughing now.” would have been a better message to their target demographic. The hero thing is just confusing.

Yeah, that’s what I gathered from Trump’s posture, but I was refering to Melania’s crossed arms and leaning away from him in a “don’t want to be near him” pose.

She’s earning her money now.
