"Over the course of President Donald Trump’s first year in office, the number of Americans without health insurance increased 1.3 percent…"
And that’s just the beginning. Paul Ryan must be so pleased.
Those 3.2 million are more likely to suffer and/or die now because of it. The rest of us, are more likely to pay more to cover for them because of it. This is what happens when the GOP is put in charge of gov’t, everyday life become more costly, both financially and for one’s health.
Oh boy, Donnie will be so pleased! His uninsured population numbers are higher than Obama’s!! And they’re gonna just keep going up!!!
So much winning!!!
Meanwhile, nearly all of the rest of THE WORLD covers ALL it’s people.
And Donald’s approval rating has risen to 39.3 (low was 36.4), that tax cut sure is popular…
Uninsured Population Increases By 3.2 Million In Trump’s First Year In Office
Needs more Free Market.
Although I would wait and see a bit on that as well.
There are a number of people who have not yet understood the full implications. My hubby’s best friend (smart guy, endowed chair at a major university, and no friend of TwoScoops) hadn’t picked up on SALT stuff until I told him about it and is now pissed to find he can’t write off all of his state and local taxes anymore (which was a significant benefit to him). And he lives in a red state. He won’t be the only one like that.
It’s like the Obamacare repeal was gonna be a good thing – until folks woke up to ACA and Obamacare being one and the same.
Brexit was also gonna be a great thing. Then reality starting sinking in.
Full coverage in Norway
EDIT: I’m guessing in Norway they say it, Donald Trump. ha ha ha
And he lives in a red state.
Thanks for pointing that out. The issue that I took away last December was that the issue with SALT was going to primarily be a problem for the Blue State. Which it is. However, that’s not to say that anyone living in a Red State with high income isn’t going to feel the pinch. Provided those affected aren’t “feral trumpers” but stayed home Nov. '16, they may be persuaded to see the light of the Democrats.
It’s a FEATURE, not a bug!
“It’s the largest one-year increase in the uninsured population since Gallup began the survey in 2008.”
The LARGEST drop of covered people EVER. The bigliest in history!!
TRUMP/DEMENTIA 2020: The same “So much whining” policies you know & love… Now, NEW & IMPROVED:… with SO MUCH DYING"!!!
GOP: “Nailed it!”
Mission Accomplished. Trump will start bragging about this accomplishment soon. Doll Hands gets confused eating those two scoops
Hmmmn. I guess this is the kind of thing that happens when you intentionally set out to dismantle and destroy a program that provides insurance coverage and health care to more people. But, this is just Phase 1. Phase 2 is more disease and suffering. Phase 3 is more deaths from conditions that could have been prevented or managed with adequate treatment. Isn’t it all so perfectly wonderful?
No doubt that when they realize that they’ve been convinced to do something that clearly harms them, they’ll blame Dems because reasons.
I can only hope that they WILL blame Rethugs when they go to demand that the Party in charge fixes it.
ETA: I just realized I might not have been clear on what I was trying to say. The Rethugs are totally happy that the gaslighting has worked; however, they’re not offering anything to replace the horror knows as “Obamacare.” My hope is that people affected will go to the Rethugs and demand a replacement of something at least comparable to the dreaded scourge. Otherwise, they got what they voted for. And we got what they voted for as well.
Only another 20 million to go.
I wish the election would hurry up and get here.
Maybe we can start saving lives and stop sucking the blood out of 80% of us.
What a nice point about Brexit.
liked x millions.
That fellow who shouted “let him die” at one of the Republican primary debates in 2012 must be joyous.
