Discussion for article #239002
Coming out of the mouth of a criminal.
“It’s a massive crisis. It’s a double crisis. What’s happening and people. You know, I look at things. And I see it on television. And some horrible mistakes are made.”
This man wants to be the leader of the free world.
“What’s happening and people. I look at things. And I see it on television.”
The erudition is astounding.
It sounds like everything he knows comes from being in a room where the TV set is tuned to cable news. It’s just hazy misimpressions about hot-button stuff like violent crime or whatever. And when he talks about the world he makes Palin sound articulate. It’s no wonder he connects with low-information voters; he’s one himself.
He has to be a plant by the Democrats to ruin the GOP.
Just has to.
You know, I look at things… this tremendous crime wave and killing wave
USA? Utopian Superhyperbolic Abattoir?
“We must have law and order.”
So, he would also be in favor of increasing FTC resources, regulations, and investigations into Wall Street investment bankers who defrauded millions of American homeowners.
Quite the regulator-in-chief!
A famous author once pointed out that where you have police, you inevitably have crime.
I’m not so sure. To me it’s more that the GOP base is like a child raised without any common sense, and one day the kid brings home this completely horrifying loser and says “Mom, Dad, we’re engaged!” An end that could have been foreseen, is what I’m saying.
“Police have to regain some control of this tremendous… killing wave that’s happening in this country.”
So, he would also be in favor of banning assault weapons, denying sales to convicted felons and people with mental illness, increasing restrictions and requirements during the background check process, and extending the length of time of background checks.
Watch out, NRA! He’s after our 2nd Amendment rights!
I see it on television.
…
we have to have law and order.
Bring back Law and Oder! Bring back Law and Order Trial by Jury! Law and Order Criminal Intent!
I agree with the Donald on this one, the lack of law and order is a crisis.
This makes him a mirror image of FoxNews viewers, which is probably a really attractive quality to, well, FoxNews viewers.
It’s the old chicken or egg first quandary. IF no crime existed, then we wouldn’t need police. IF you have police first, then crime follows? Not sure about that.
I done seen it on that talking picture box thingee…it’s gotta be true
I agree with your assessment that he’s a mirror image of FoxNews dwellers but I also think he taps into some White Democrats who feel the same thing. Of course, they’re not nearly as obvious and coarse about it nor will Rump won’t get those Dems to vote for him but I wouldn’t be surprised at all if they agree with him on some deep level.
At this point, I begin to hate Trump. Earlier, he’s been a laughable dufus, with nasty opinions. Now he’s a danger to all of us, including me. I’m not laughing at him anymore. I want him gone. Pretty much the same for the entire GOP party, members of the party, and presidential / all political candidates.
He’ll be Commissioner Gordon, Batman and Joker all rolled into one!
Bring back Sheriff Lobo!
Violent crime is down. Dramatically. Damn near everywhere.
There is no crime wave.
Yes, Trump’s not laughable any more. Trump’s a genuine threat to everyone because of his incoherence. It’s despicable, as you said, because it spotlights his unpreparedness for the presidency, which he evidently doesn’t care about. Then, it makes other Republicans apoplectic with the desire to mimic him - all the more because the more incoherent Trump is, the more he convinces pundits like Chuck Todd to just nod along with him rather than do their jobs and challenge him to clarify himself. If they’re just like Trump, they won’t need to clarify themselves, either.
Awful, just awful.
