Discussion: Trump: We Must Give 'Power' Back To Police To Fight 'Rampant' Crime

Well…Trump is here for awhile. Then he’s gone. He’ll save face ( ego ) by claiming he was “only in it to start a dialogue” and go back to whatever he was up to before this quixotic joke.

What’s happening and people.

“It’s a massive crisis. It’s a double crisis. What’s happening and people. You know, I look at things. And I see it on television. And some horrible mistakes are made,” Trump responded. “At the same time, we have to give power back to the police because crime is rampant. And I’m a big person that believes in very big-- you know, we need police.”

And they called Reagan the great communicator! Trump is like an idiot savant without the burden of savantism.

This part just sums up everything that comes out of Trump’s mouth: “I’m a big person that believes in very big…”

No, he’s Frankenstein’s monster.

The GOP created him, now they can’t control him.

He unknowingly knows the unknown knowns and known knowns — but, as with his information about birth certificates, he’s gonna keep unknown especially if it would benefit anyone but himself.

Kinda like mcCain … who knows how to end wars… but refuses to share the information.

To me, this is the bulk of our problem: those charged with interviewing Trump, reporting on what he says and does and providing journbalistic analysis.

Todd is a Toad.

The problem is that (as Todd well knows), if he were to actually decide to become a journalist, he would be replaced by someone else to lob butterknife questions at Republicans. The mansion is gone, the seven-figure income is gone. The access to the Good Life is gone. The rubbing shoulders with those in Power…GONE.

Ergo, Todd is merely an example of a “Press” we started to really give away during the age of Reagan…and many sociologists trace it earlier:

“Beginning in the early 1970s, business leaders took a more direct and aggressive role in national politics”

This is taken from page 224 of Dennis Gilbert, THE AMERICAN CLASS STRUCTURE…fourth edition. Subsequent editions confirm this…and on pages 224 and 225, more specifics are offered, including citing victories by elites in the late 1970s against labour unions, consumer protection…elite control of the media on page 223

Racist Trump is just blowing on that old whistle. Cops have been killing unarmed Black men on a regular basis, and we need to give power back to them??? The power to kill unarmed Black men and not be indicted? Do not give Donald Trump the benefit of a doubt.

“…this tremendous crime wave and killing wave that’s happening in this country.”

There is no national “crime wave,” and violent crime in particular has been dropping sharply, including in major cities:

“…the trend lines are clear: The number of violent crimes has declined since 2006, according to the FBI’s Uniform Crime Reporting Program. The number of violent crimes committed per 100,000 people has been dropping even longer, from a high of 758 in 1991 to 367.9 in 2013. The rate hasn’t topped 500 per 100,000 people since 2001.”

Martin Niemöller: “First they came for the Socialists…”

Sounds like the Nazi comparison might be appropriate with the Donald.

The mothership in particular had rebounded to early season quality, after the long dark years with DA Senator Foghorn Leghorn. Last I saw, he’s hawking reverse mortgages.

Now they have Rosemary’s Baby to nurse.

So it’s a HUGE MASSIVE PROBLEM and you’re just a LIBRUL LYAR running interference for the OBAMA STATE COMMUNISM MUSLIM THING.

Certainly not Chauncey’s innocence or purity.

Shorter F*ckface Von Clownstick: “It’s terrible how the police are abusing their power. We must give them more power.”

And - within the past two days, Trump said he would receive the majority of the black vote! (delusion, anyone?)

This is pure political posturing by the Trump campaign. He is pandering to the cops that are currently on the ropes and will take any praise that they can get, even from a corrupt law-breaking disingenuous bastard.

Trump is aligning himself with the dregs and the most unpopular that need a leader that is unafraid and fool enough to represent them.

Billionaires and cops, two groups that are so unpowerful in America, Oy!

More power is not the solution for police organizations who have lost the ability to de-escalate situations, and instead stoke and cause racial issues through power abuse.

Trump is a menace to our society in the truest sense of the phrase.
