I watched the 10 mins of his blathering. He was clueless as to what was in the bill. On one hand he claimed it to be a great bill. On the other hand there were things in it that he did not like. No one asked him what the good parts were vs the ones he did not like. But it was a non stop blame the Democrats for the failure of the Republican House. Was anyone from the Democratic side of the House actually invited into the crafting of the bill? No. Gawd he is insufferable.

Let me get this straight. Democrats were supposed to vote to repeal their own health care law which was passed 7 years ago without one Republican vote. Is Trump that stupid or does he really think we are? Dems must now draw up a plan that will strengthen and improve the ACA and keep showing it to the American citizens in order to get a bill introduced by the Repubs in the House.

It’s a great idea in theory that has a snowball’s chance in hell of ever happening. Trump didn’t even reach out to Democrats at his Inauguration.
Trump views everything as a zero-sum game. While it’s true that there are zero-sum games, legislating doesn’t have to be one of them. It’s really not all that difficult to craft positive-sum outcome in this sort of situation.

Mismanagement.
Casinos that do objectively stupid shit (e.g., participate as a player in Baccarat) occasionally lose money in a quarter. A casino that loses money quarter after quarter is being mismanaged – in the case of Trump’s casinos, he did a bunch of stuff he told the NJ Gaming Commission he said he wouldn’t do. One of the biggies was financing the Taj Mahal with junk bonds.
