Discussion: Trump Trashes CNN As 'Fake News' In Black History Month Listening Session

“He’s all by himself, seven people and Paris, but I’ll take Paris over the seven,” Trump said. “But I don’t watch CNN so I don’t get to see you as much. I don’t like watching fake news.”

One) Is Scottie Nell Hughes, a blonde haired black woman? #askingforafriend

Two) Has he addressed FNC’s role in reporting that Quebec Masque shooting?

What is there to address? A radical Islamic terrorist shot up the mosque. End of story. Same goes for the Murrah Federal Building. Check the history books.

No, wait a few months to check those history books. Jerry Falwell Jr hasn’t had time to order the proper revisions yet.

Maybe Lewandowski will quit in a tiff?? (Unca Cheeto might wanna punish CNN further…)

wasn’t sure for a min

Which one of Trump’s maniacs thought a listening session, on any subject, was an appropriate format for him? Who thought Trump could fake an interest in what other people had to say for 20 minutes at a time? Or that he was remotely prepared for being critiqued?

TV “press” is not the press. No ink, no barrels. Reuters, however, is drawing the line

In addition to just lurving him some MLK statuary, Trump said Frederick Douglass was “someone who has done a terrific job that is being recognized by more and more people.” So, so cringeworthy. He doesn’t know one goddamn thing about AA history and couldn’t be bothered to spend five minutes on it before he walked into the room.

That’s the very best news I’ve read since Trump took office.

Honestly, I think either photo would be a visual and mental improvement over tRumps horrible visage, so let’s stick with the stock tRump photo

Serious Question: What the hell is a listening session?

Other questions: What the hell is Trump doing at one? And why is he gabbering on about non-sense instead of listening?

Among other advice, the news agency pointed out that reporters should “[g]ive up on hand-outs and worry less about official access.”
“They were never all that valuable anyway. Our coverage of Iran has been outstanding, and we have virtually no official access. What we have are sources,” the memo said. “Get out into the country and learn more about how people live, what they think, what helps and hurts them, and how the government and its actions appear to them, not to us.”

Go Reuters! Our new role model.

along with raindrops and roses

The key to these sessions is to get the sellouts of a particular group to sit there and look really interested in what this human stain has to say. Once the 15 minutes are up, they think they’ve got the President ear only to find out he’s “lost their number” and has no intention of dealing with them again.

Well, until the next photo op.

Reuters kicks ass, to put it plainly. Consistently excellent work.

Josh is almost always right. Thank Jeebus we have him to filter signal from noise for us. He’s about all I have left to trust at this point.

DEFINITION, FAKE NEWS: Fake news is information that is clearly and demonstrably fabricated and that has been packaged and distributed to appear as legitimate news.

It’s understandable why President Bannon, his Trump puppet and right-wing media want to confuse people about the actual definition of fake news. They don’t want people to recognize that fake news is their favorite weapon.
