The media are not happy about the manner Trump portrays them. It sure doesn’t help when Trump is served up a slam dunk of idiocy like Zeke Miller’s mistake, to cite forever afterward as proof they’re hostile to him. You reap what you sow. Miller had to know allegations the bust was removed would elicit condemnation from many corners. Seems like a story you’d want to be damned sure was accurate before going to press. Where the hell was the editor? The lack of oversight and second sourcing means the stupidity existed on multiple levels. No one at Time Magazine asked “Are you absolutely positive the bust is gone from the Oval Office?”
Can’t say as I fault Trump for harping on it. Time Magazine richly earned his scorn.
