ā€œMr. President, as the governor of Guam ā€¦ and as an American citizen, I have never felt more safe or confident with you at the helm,ā€ Gov. Eddie Baza Calvo Ā® said to Trump

Sucking up to get a job in DC and get the hell off of Guam.

Reads like an Onion piece. Honestly, sounds like two deranged guys talking in an insane asylum.

North Korea is threatening Guam with a ring of nuclear fire and these idiots are talking about being famous and tourism?? Threats of nuclear war is a joke to them.

Thatā€™s the beginning of almost every horror movieā€¦and every used car sale.

This will figure prominently in Trumpā€™s 4:30 Happy Talk briefing today. No matter heā€™s already heard it all. Heā€™ll love the replay, possibly almost as much as he loves Apprentice reruns.

There are millions of us, if not billions, who do not feel more confident or safe with Trump at the helm.

ā€œDonā€™t worry about a thing,ā€ Trump said in response. ā€œThey should have had me eight years ago.ā€

Trump did not run for president 8 years ago. North Korea had not threatened to launch a missile at Guam 8 years ago, and they didnā€™t have a miniaturized nuke 8 years ago. Eddie Baza Calvo was not the Governor of Guam 8 years ago - he was in the legislature. Nothing was happening in Guam 8 years ago. So, this statement means nothing other than perhaps 1) somehow being a criticism against Obama for not doing anything when nothing had to be done, or 2) being Trumpā€™s way of saying he could have put Guam at risk 8 years earlier.

Yes, being an active threatened target of a nuclear strike by a crazy dictator would naturally drive tourism up. Says the man who stirred the pot in such a way (not due to new intel, but do to a WaPo story about information that Trump (had he paid attention to his intel briefings) already access to) - that provoked the thread in the first place.

@rickjones or 3) trying to erase the history/existence of the black President.

Iā€™m wondering how quickly Lockheed can ramp up production of THAAD missile systems. If they could park one by my house thatā€™d be swell.

The Trump Presidency: The Donā€™t Worry Be Happy Years.

I have lived on two 15 minutes warning bases as a kid.

I have also lived on a no where to go base (Hawaii). Hawaii can be ā€œpreparedā€ all its wants, it will be hell on earth if it happened regardless.

Guam is in even more dire circumstances. Short alert time, no where to go and they have Andersen AFB. As a target, it would be considered sweet including the symbolism of it.

NK just has to get it right once to send everything to the crapper.

ā€œAnd your tourism, I can say this, your tourism is going to go up like tenfold with the expenditure of no money, so I congratulate you,ā€ Trump said.

A-bomb shelter San Francisco, 1951. It doesnā€™t look like much but with some new curtains, some prints on the wall, itā€™ll be very cozy.

Iā€™m particularly fascinated by the surrealist bit where Trumpler tells the idiot governor: ā€œā€¦You just went to 110 (percent occupancy)ā€

Considering the price of real estate in San Francisco, they could probably get $500,000 for it. (Not including the $2,500 per month HOA fees)
