Discussion: Trump To Appoint Anti-Contraception Activist To HHS Family Planning Role

The guy is scared of women. He won’t attend any event where alcohol is served unless his wife is present.

Oh, and there’s this:

I also remember when lying, that “bearing false witness” was immoral.

Apparently, in her world, that means we just shouldn’t have it at all then. It’s the whole gun argument. If we can’t stop all murders, why do we want to restrict guns?

I get the abortion debate, but the anti contraception crowd really takes the cake. They are only interested in imposing their religious beliefs on the rest of us.

I know how you feel.

We’re one light bulb going out away from the Dark Ages.

Actually, he’s flicking the finger at rural women who are the ones who’ll be overwhelmingly effected by this. If you live in, say, Cincinnati, Cleveland, or Columbus, there are plenty of organizations in those places that will continue to provide family planning education and services. They’ll continue to make available STD testing and treatment. That won’t change.

What WILL change are funding and education in rural communities where they rely heavily on state and federal dollars for these services. So, the idiots in Georgetown, OH, in Aberdeen and Ashtabula will suffer the most. It’s in those small communities where the response to STD outbreaks will be slow if any. But then they did this to themselves, so fuck em. Enjoy your 20 kids and rotten vagina right along with your heroin addiction. See, isn’t your America great now?

Is this what it felt like at the end of the Roman empire?

Heck. I’m thinking Trump would be a great poster for the face of contraception!

Thank you. When I was in college in the late 70s, I also thought it was settled. If they are successful, they will be taking us back to the 1890s. But they’re not going to be successful because we’re going to push back like we’ve never pushed back before.

I have zero compassion. None. You wanna impress some Bernie Bro by proclaiming your independence from “that bitch” your conscience just won’t allow you to vote for? I have not one iota of sympathy what happens to you as a result.

She doesn’t give a flying fuck because it won’t affect her and other wealthy women who will have access to all of the healthcare and personal liberties they’ve come to enjoy.

It is easy to separate yourself from the people in rural America, but the people in rural America who will be hurt are the women who daily use the reproductive services this woman will torpedo. Why do they “deserve” either the punishment this woman will inflict or the raw bigotry you display?

Because they voted for it! I’m not going to waste an ounce of sympathy on PP voters being forced to live with the consequences of their stupid decisions. If you want to continue to be an apologist for these people, have at it. And yes, I’m quite proudly bigoted against PP voters. Apparently, that hits a little close to home with you. Funny, but not surprising.

In some respects, THAT’S the aspect of all this nonsense chaos that gets me: the major cities will continue on as they have before. Doctors in ER’s in the Blue states aren’t preparing for a flood of women who are hemorraging to death due to knitting needle “scrapes.” It’s the rural women/suburban women dominated by their husbands who will get the entire brunt of this.

And yes, young women with advanced STD’s/pre-cancerous lesions because, as we all know, “anal & oral don’t count.”

Are you referring to the dim bulb who lives in the White House?

The Orange Horror seems to be playing “Opposites World” with his appalling appointments to oversee various departments in the government. None of this will end well, especially for poorer people. This appointee is truly an idiot and a lot of women and children to be born will suffer because of her ignorance and stupidity. Between a POTUS who seems to have a mental melt-down every other day and the awful cabinet he has put together this country is in for very dark times.

Technically speaking, it’s rural women who should have the strongest institutional memory, handed down from generation to generation, of what it was like to have no access to BC and/or OB/GYN care.

Add to that, with ACA repeal/rejection, being forced to give birth at home with a “midwife” who may or may not know what she’s doing.

His next appointment will be a flat-earth advocate as one of the top officials at NASA.

Exactly, even in a red state like KY with a batshit, Conservative governor who thinks little girls should be forced to have their rapists baby, women and girls here in Louisville will be largely protected by our liberal mayor, city council, school board, and congressman. Schools will continue to teach sex ed, groups will continue to offer services, but they won’t have the money to extend to prop up rural areas. And their elected Republican leaders won’t be throwing them any lifelines.

I didn’t know the vote was 100% for Trump in rural America, but you in your bigotry treat all rural women as Trump supporters. Maybe you should get off your high horse and realize that you are simply mirroring the hate filled bigotry many Trump voters have for you, all people of color and people who live in urban centers.
