âWhite House officials and Trump himself have been urging some of the administrationâs most ardent TV supporters to give cable news interviews that praise Barr.â
Isnât this what dictatorship looks like?
and he views Barr as âsomeone who is defending him at all costs,â

Trump Thrilled With Barr, But Some Aides Think Performance Was âShortsightedâ
Some soon-to-be-former aides?
There is no âshort-sightedâ in TrumpWorld.
Thereâs only getting through the day and the news cycle. Thereâs never anything that a few more lies and a little more corruption wonât fix.
DJT knows that without Big Vladdyâs support in 2020, heâs toast and soon indicted after leaving office.
DJT knows that Commeyâs release hurt Clinton and probably swung enough districts to give his the win. He also knows that heâs polling behind in re-election efforts.
Barrâs job now is to go dig up anything and make moutains out of nothing for an August 2020 release in order to boost DJT campaign.
DJT is a bafoon and one pitch pitcher. Heâs has one default move and thatâs scams and trickery over substance when he gets nervous of loosing.
I love reading that Trump is thrilled with someone. This is like the 3rd stage in the Kubler-Ross-Trump scale of loss and grieving.
Stage 4 is the knife in the back. Stage 5 is the corpse walking off of its own accord, as if embarrassed and a bit surprised to be dead.
People familiar with the call told the Post that supporters were urged to say that Barr âdismembered arguments about obstruction of justice.â
To which observers likely respond: âHe certainly dismembered something, but it looks more like the department (and administration of) justice.â
Barr is more of a âburnerâ AG, so far as Trump is concerned.
People familiar with the call told the Post that supporters were urged to say that Barr âdismembered arguments about obstruction of justice.â
When Barr admitted that he had not reviewed any of the Exhibits to the Mueller Report, he dismembered any credibility for his conclusions, except amongst FOX and its Cult.
Some comic relief, which is always welcome.

Arenât they all?
If they felt Barr was that good, they wouldâve sent him to the House hearing.
Thereâs only getting through the day and the news cycle.
A characteristic of SociopathsâŚ
I also wondered about fatigue. Barr is old and fat and out of shape, and though I donât like what he said, he was clearly on his toes, calculating the syntax of every answer very carefully. Even with all that attentiveness, he got tripped up, and likely perjured himself. He might not have the stamina for a second day of grilling.
So thrilled that he is not allowed to appear before the House.
Did Donnie invite Barr to the WH for cheeseburgers? Birds of a feather, eat cheeseburgers togetherâŚ
I take issue with this one. With Trumpâs NPD heâll never entertain the thought that he needed a supporting actor to make him the star of his current situation, never.
Some of Trumpâs various aides, I imagine, understand that Trump, his enablers, and his supporters all live in a bubble in which none of them are ever wrong and all of them are permanently beleaguered unfairly. In that bubble, Barrâs performance was thrilling and the weatherâs fine. Outside the bubble, where most of us live, it was a disastrous torching of personal and institutional credibility and a terrifying giant step towards an authoritarian version of American democracy. Losing the trust of the majority is a big deal. Until now people had been warily giving the DOJ the benefit of the doubt, most of the time. No more. Thatâs all over now. Trumpâs pathological corruption is nearly out of control now. âShortsightedâ doesnât really convey the instability to come.
