This will be fun to watch. It’s a damned-if-you-fo-damned-if-you-don’t for the Trumpsters.
“Softening” will piss off his base, “hard core” will continue to alienate most voters. Squirm, squirm, squirm.
But anyhow, we all know Kellyanne is using her “designed for small children” wheedle on him, and sooner or later he’ll decide that’s no fun and belch out the next round of insults. 'Cause Kellyanne has to sleep sometime. And he’s awake nights with his Twitter account.
I suppose his base will see this as just him saying stuff to get elected. In case not, I hope there’s a PAC out there ready to drop a bunch of money on ads comparing what he said in the primary to now to anger his supporters. Maybe make it vile, speak to them on their own level.
“There could certainly can be a softening because we’re not looking to hurt people.”
Trump’s supporters want nothing more than hurting people.
Trump: I want to follow Obama on the majority of issues. He has been tremendously successful, especially compared to George Bush. I encouraged Melania to copy Michelle Obama’s speech and I will pivot to Obama’s policies in the general election. My supporters will not really care as they are not very bright.
Flip Flopper.
Shorter Trump: “Obama’s a failure. He’s not enforcing the law. His policies are great. But they’re low energy. We’ll carry them out with a lot more power.”
I guess this is how he got people to enroll in Trump University.
As the pendulum swings, the orange hot-air buffoon pivots on his flip-flop.
You may be on to something there. His supporters will believe anything that Fox and Breitbart tell them, it seems. All he would have to say is “this is so much better than what you had under Obama” and they would buy it. I would guess that one of his first acts would be to point at current crime stats to show that crime had dropped just with the prospect of a Trump victory.
Babel.
I doubt the hard-core supporters will care. They just like his style.
But people among the broader public seem to have already made up their own minds, and I doubt there’s anything HO could do now to change that. Attacking the Khans was the famous Fifth Avenue shooting he said wouldn’t cost him support, and as usual, he was wrong.
"We want to follow the laws, you know, we have very strong laws. We have very strong laws in this country."
“…we’ve got some really, really bad gang members and some horrible people,” he told Hannity. “Those people are going out day one.”
*Donald, you claim you'll follow the laws. The laws don't permit, nor have procedures in place, for deportation of people in a 24 hour time frame from the moment of detention to the time they are removed from the country. Please explain. And show your work.*

When someone is either caught in the U.S. with no documents, or is alleged to have violated the terms of a visa or green card, the U.S. government will ordinarily initiate deportation (removal) proceedings. These may lead to the person being cleared of the charges (and perhaps even gaining an immigration benefit), agreeing to leave voluntarily, or receiving an order of removal.
***Even if the result is deportation, the important thing for anyone facing such proceedings to know is that it doesn't happen overnight.*** ***Deportation from the U.S. involves many steps, from the initial notification, to one or more hearings, to the judge's order of removal, to the actual transport out of the country.***
There are several types of relief from removal that may allow you to stay in the United States.
If you're in the removal process now, or might be subject to the process in the future, you should know some things about how it works.
How the Deportation and Removal Process Starts
The removal process normally begins with the DHS issuing the non-citizen a Notice to Appear (NTA). This document states your name and the country in which you were born, orders you to appear before an Immigration Judge (IJ) on a certain date, and gives you other information, such as:
Why you're being ordered to appear
***How you allegedly broke the law*** or violated your immigration status
***Your right to have an attorney***, whom you'll have to choose, hire, and pay for, and
the consequences of your failure to appear at the hearing (which include that you might be issued an order of deportation in your absence, which would block any chance you might have of gaining U.S. immigration benefits for the next ten years, at least).
***If the judge determines that the basic charges in the NTA are correct, and perhaps that you're potentially eligible for some form of relief, the judge will schedule another, longer, individual hearing.***

Appropriately Cheeto-colored!
Hillary’s Opponent: “Yes, I’m open to softening. If all illegal rapist lawbreaking disease-carriers simply come forward and Kneel Before Zod – er, before Trump, they will be forgiven and in Zod’s – er, Trump’s beneficence, they will be allowed to live relatively free lives…as long as they avert their eyes when in the presence of a white person and agree to never ask for citizenship for themselves or their illegal disease-breeder babies, that is.”
Trumpism is all about vindictiveness. Without that, there’s no Trump campaign.
I’ll be disappointed, however, if the Trump campaign, rather than going down to defeat while engaged in a full-throated embrace of its essential awfulness, instead gets whomped because it’s so wishy-washy, it doesn’t inspire much of anyone.
"And I don’t know if you know but Bush, *and even Obama, sends people back. "
You nitwit, Obama hasn’t earned the dubious title “Deporter-in-Chief” because he’s been inviting undocumented folks to spend the night in the Lincoln bedroom. Pay attention!
“There could certainly can be a softening because we’re not looking to hurt people,” Trump told Fox News’ Sean Hannity when asked during a town hall whether he might change laws to allow certain undocumented immigrants to remain in the country. "We want people — we have some great people in this country.
Who knew that Trump was a ‘Dreamer’?
Miracles and wonders do exist…
