Well, he did blame the Dems for the stock drop a week or so ago… totally ignoring the huge drop earlier this year.
I assume he is using WTI (West Texas Intermediate) crude price, not Brent or Saudi or OPEC prices. In fact, the Saudis have little or no impact on current prices, and have scheduled a OPEC meeting to cut output about Dec 6 due to high inventories. But you are correct. The $53 WTI will negatively impact US oil-related economies, especially shale oil, which requires high oil prices to be profitable.
Where did Worms for Brains get “was just $82” price? WTI hasn’t been at $82 since 2014.

Can we all acknowledge the obvious? Trump not only knew about the murder, he green-lighted it. It’s the only explanation for his bizarre behavior.
They’re out there. The existence of an app solely devoted to alerts about local low gas pricing is the tell.
Heaven help him and the GOP when their base realises that the strength of the stock market has very little benefit to day-to-day blue collar living.

I don’t understand driving some miles down the road for cheaper gas. But neither am I in the app generation
I think Trump’s concerns will come when his real base (the 1%) begins to lose money because he just cannot keep his mouth shut.
Many use Gas Buddy or similar apps to find cheap gas while traveling far away from home. Not being familiar with local amenities and not wanting to be gouged at the interstate gas stops, an app like GB is quite useful in find a nearby gas station that can be quite a bit cheaper and not so far away.
Would you say they chopped the price of a barrel of oil or slashed it?
Brent was at $84 in October, but has only come down to the low 60’s so he is mixing and mashing in accordance with his mish-mash of a brain.
Is there a good explanation for the volatility. the prices crash in the last month. Is this related to braoder asset price volatility of some other market fundamental (or revision in expectations in market fundamentals) . The idea that SA or anyone else engineered the price drop as a favor to America seems hard to swallow.
