I simply cannot believe that more noise is not being made about his failure to participate in any scheduled, customary commemorations. I posted on FB about this, and it took a while but the apologists came out. They insisted on the weather being a real problem. I said the ground contingency plan should have been executed and was told that roads in France are not suitably driveable (thank god the teleporters for every other world leader worked, I guess). I mentioned the bigger snub, which were the ceremonies in his own backyard, and got told how much he saved the military after Obama cut its budget. Okay.
