Here’s the thing - the failure to visit Arlington on Veterans’ Day was planned, it wasn’t a cancellation of previous plans. As I posted above here is a link to the president’s daily schedule. When he was in France, the visits on Armistice Day are on the schedule marked CANCELLED. Here is what he had for Monday
He never intended to go to Arlington, he never intended to pay his respects.
He is a disgrace and, if the military wants to continue to support him, they’re willfully ignorant.

trump has said of his military themed high school that it was more military than the actual military.
Apparently that is supposed to give him gravitas.

It WAS a real problem - for his hair. Due to his inability to operate an umbrella, there was a high probability that a combination of wind and rain would have washed out the 3 pounds of hair spray he uses and his hair would have fallen down to his shoulders around his bald spot, making him look the proprietor of a porno shop, not to mention creating a choking hazard and possibly causing the Secret Service to accidentally fire at the crazy suspicious looking stranger who had suddenly appeared where Trump had just been standing.

VA officials say one in 10 department jobs is unfilled
WASHINGTON — More than one in 10 Veterans Affairs jobs is currently unfilled, a vacancy rate being downplayed by department officials but likely to raise serious worries among lawmakers who have already voiced concerns about a lack of medical professionals for veterans programs.
More than 45,000 department posts are currently unfilled, with about 40,000 in the Veterans Health Administration alone, according to new data released by the department last week.
The rate was even higher among VA staff offices, with more than 2,500 vacancies, nearly 17 percent of the budgeted management posts.
The figures were touted as another step toward transparency in federal government by VA officials, but were mandated to be made public by Congress in the recently passed VA Mission Act. The data was released just before 5 p.m. on the Friday before the extended Labor Day holiday weekend.

yeah. he is busily privatizing the VA Healthcare system. which works, i guess, if you are a veteran who lives in an area with competent medical help. if you live in a rural area, your veterans “choice” is limited to trying to figure which doctor has killed the least amount of patients.

Then two things come to mind. Big money was spent on Marine One such that it could fly anywhere in any condition. Why did a little rain ground it. (driving not possible? I myself did the drive from Paris to Belleau in under an hour in 1988).
And then why is it that the C-i-C could not make it to the cemetery but Kelly, his wife and the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs(he is a Marine) could?
Then there’s last Monday’s snafu. trump could not risk a bad hair day at Arlington to honor the fallen.
Bad hair conditions? Wear a fucking hat. Is there not a hat in all of France?
