I so get Carter and agree with him on Trump. I love how he harasses him but can he look a bit less like a 18th Century British fop?
My first reaction to the headline was “So, what?” This was almost 25 years ago, after all. And times have changed.
But after reading it, I’m thinking, “What a pig!”
In 1992, I had the poor luck to meet Drumpf backstage at the Broadway play Marla Maples was “starring” in at the time (Will Rogers Follies). Donald was at the nadir of his real estate failures and was damn-near bankrupt. He made totally inappropriate comments about my girlfriend (who was standing next to me) and even went so far as to instruct Marla to find out what shade of lipstick my date was wearing so Marla could look that good too. But, the crowning diss came when, out of the blue, Drumpf extracts from his jacket a golf score card and proceeds to hold it up so people could see he’d beaten his playing partner. No one had remotely brought up golf, but DT actually said, “Speaking of golf” to open his self-centered takeover of the conversation. A buddy of mine said to Drumpf, “Well, no wonder your real estate empire is crumbling; you’re out playing golf instead of working”. I followed with, “By the way, Donald, did you putt your golf ball through the little windmill at the end?”, to which he replied (with zero humor), “No. I played at the Glen Cove Country Club”. He was a total douche bag then, is now and forever will be. Kiss my unwiped rear, Donnie. You’re a loser when it comes to being a human being.

“It seems that Trump had spent his entire time with her assaying the ‘tits’ and legs of the other female guests and asking how they measured up to those of other women, including his wife. ‘He is,’ she told me, in words that seemed familiar, ‘the most vulgar man I have ever met.’”
Her never having dined with Bill O'Reilly or Sean Hannity I could see a woman holding that opinion.
Toss up as to who is more vulgar, Ailes or Trump…
Is Kirsebom available for comment? – There’s always room for another ad, especially on a winning theme.
Worth pointing out it was Graydon Carter himself who tagged Trump as a short-fingered vulgarian.
Great story! Sad story… but a great one!
And that’s presidential timber as far as 42% of the population is concerned.
Trump is the most vulgar man I’ve ever seen. His circle are also extremely vulgar people, as one might expect, but none of them comes close to being as vulgar as Donald Trump.
So his basket of deplorables are people who actually appreciate vulgarity.
You want the divide in America? That’s just about where it is - between some standards and none whatsoever.
Considering that it was 25 years ago, the fact that she actually thought it was disgusting and asked to move is important. Not only was male behavior different, but so was women’s perceptions of that behavior and their level of felt empowerment. It must have been excruciatingly bad for her to have made the effort to be moved.
Nothing about Trump in this story comes as a surprise. I’ll tell you what shocked the hell out of me:
TPM identified someone in a photo.
Another story about what a disgusting egotist and womanizer Trump is. I become increasingly depressed that so many of my fellow citizens think he is capable of being POTUS.
Sounds like Carter was also guilty of using her as chattel in seating her next to Trump to begin with.
Graydon Carter deserves a front row seat at the next debate. Ideally, he will hold a 6-inch ruler and keep shifting his gaze from Drumpf’s hands to the ruler.
Gawd how I miss SPY magazine.
I love the photos of Trump seething at President Obama’s jabs at 2011 Correspondents Dinner.
ROFL! The one thing that gives the whole story it’s ineffable Trumpiness!
As far as Vendela Kirsebom goes, consider that Trump’s detractors have all spent the last year and a half talking about his unerring instinct for homing in on someone’s weakness and ask yourself whether he was just being an unthinking boor or whether he was bored and twisting a knife into a pretty young blonde for kicks.
I love that idea. And seat Bill Maher next to him. It’s not that I’m Bill’s biggest fan, but he drives HO absolutely crazy.
A great many of his reporters do not read so don’t know the full scale of his many failures, both morally and financially. I was watching MSNBC for a short while this morning and heard one of his supporters, when questioned about his enormous billion dollar financial loss, express great admiration that he has come back from that financial pit and built a successful business empire. Of course, they have no idea what shape his business is in today but they are true believers in the business acumen that HO constantly brags about.
