Discussion: Trump Spells Out Judge Attacks: 'We're Building A Wall. He's A Mexican'

God, I hope Trump sinks the Republican brand so much that they can’t give it away at the Dollar store for a penny.

Ooohhh, the thought of Trump tarnishing Republicans as racist morons for decades to come is intoxicating… exhilarating. Okay, those may not be the right words, but who cares—Trump clearly doesn’t care about words.

I can’t trust the nation that elected George W. Bush twice to make the right decisions — but that same nation elected Barack Obama twice so not all hope is lost. Still, I hope Trump keeps on spewing, and pretending he doesn’t have a thin skin, for the next four solid months.

Trump is a bit late to the wall building brigade. In 2008 McCain released this:

Here is the wall well outside Nogales, AZ;

The wall is way fancier in downtown Nogales, AZ

But the there is also Trump’s personal version of the wall as he intends it to be:

I am not willing to watch the interview. If anyone did, can you explain what Trump meant by “as I am”? What is Trump proud of? That the judge is Mexican? That Trump is Mexican? Or is he saying that he is proud of his white heritage? I assume the latter, but what the fuck. Grammar? Soon all the kool kids will be speaking in trump-ated parlance. Sad!

Agree! One has to pay only moderate attention to the vitriolic, racist and nativist bile spewing from Fox, Talk/Hate Radio, social media and comments sections in publications across the spectrum to understand that our democracy in serious trouble. There are scores of millions of citizens for whom facts and reality play no part in their world view. Ignorance and bastardized religious beliefs are celebrated, science, education, mathematics, compromise, good citizenship…hell, the fucking Golden Rule are all viewed with pathological disdain.

In early March I posted the following. Things (and what’s left of my optimism) have gone down hill since then. Nothing, yet, has occurred to change my concerns.

I don’t have a crystal ball, but…It’s always darkest before the dawn, right? I wish I felt that the election would represent that dawn. I’m afraid it’s more apt to occur at sunset, triggering a VERY ugly night.

Trump is elected opening the floodgates of unhinged, racist America. Or, Clinton elected driving the same demographic wild with outrage, conspiracy theories and acting out violently. It is going to take a hell of a lot longer than one or two presidential/congressional terms to put the dark genie back in the bottle.

We got here over several decades of declining political integrity and respect for public service. The republican party has been sailing the sewers of repressed racism and white privilege since The Southern Strategy. Our national media has sat idly by, calling balls, strikes and errors like it was all just an entertaining game. Tune in tomorrow, find out who said what about whom. Be outraged…now a word from our sponsors.

Considering Trump has been wallowing in comments about the case since February and recently abusing the judge personally, I doubt he can silence himself.

I’ll take a Large Tall!

Yippee!!! This is just what we want to see – listen to the hysteria in his voice. Bill Maher has it exactly right:

Trump is a Whiny Little Bitch.

He doesn’t have a legitimate beef. TANGtan™ is just lashing out because Curiel released the Trump University sales scripts; Drumpf claimed they contained “trade secrets,” like “How to do high-pressure up-sells to people least likely to afford it” and the secrets to selling a $1500 master class: “Bankruptcy: Three Easy Steps.”

Trumps is not building a wall. He is lying about that, and the judge is American. Lets get the story straight here .

It’s a Godwin’s Law violation, but it’s a minor one insofar as it has nothing to do with comparing the evil of Hitler/the Nazis to Drumpf. In that sense, there really is no comparison (at least I hope not). But Hitler and Drumpf are both megalomaniacal jerks and megalomania makes people do stupid things. E.g., getting into land wars in Asia or continuing to draw attention your own shortcomings when you are allegedly campaigning to be POTUS.

Heil Schicklgruber, would not have worked! Heil Drumpf is pretty much the same… there are many other similarities… I hope I have not pissed off Godwin.

You might compare him to Mussolini. Much closer fit. Same audience, in a way.

Hey, he gave her a nickname ‘Crooked Hillary’ and he calls in to all the classiest tv shows. That’s all he had to do to win the nomination, why should the general be any different?

“Trump Spells Out Judge Attacks: ‘We’re Building A Wall. He’s A Mexican’”

You know, the man is an utter lunatic. But that is one helluva great non sequitur.

I believe that he can hold Mr. Drumpf in contempt of court for what he’s saying, but then he gets pulled into the political imbroglio. I think this is a judicial version of ‘Please proceed, Governor…’

GOD. Please make the endless nonsense that is this man’s speech patterns end! He has nothing, nada, zilch in the way of…well…anything. First Palin, now Trump. F*** Republicans.

It’s like a football cheer, like the one George Plimpton devised for Harvard football:

Repel them
Repel them
Make them relinquish the ball!

But here it’s more like:

He’s Mexican
He’s Mexican
And we’re the one building that Wall

plus footnotes (Most cheers don’t have footnotes, but this one needs them.):

1.) Not that it’s bad to be Mexican, it’s fine.
2) He’s born her, sure, but he’s Mexican, and proud of it, and so am I.
3.) “We”, like in me, or We, The People … same deal.
4.) And by building, include suggesting.
