Discussion: Trump Scheduled To Host 'Saturday Night Live' Next Month

Discussion for article #241701

Jeez, Chris Christie could get in one of those pores (use one of Melania’s toners, Donald)…But, RE SNL, isn’t this what Donald’s been angling for all along?

There are some top level people at SNL who have been making some bad choices for quite some time, but this one takes the cake.

This sucks. People should be making a concerted effort to make this shit stain go away, not promote his idiocy more.

Not if it garners SNL great ratings, helps Trump win the nomination, and he goes on to get trampled in the general by a Democrat. If that’s how it shakes out, this may be one of SNL’s best decisions to date.

he is after all , an entertainer…

Trying to work with the Jon Stewart election model.

I’m already scheduled to alphabetize my t-shirts that evening. Oh darn!

I disagree. Burying Trump isn’t going to make his idiocy go away, it will only serve to bury it until the next Trump comes along. I much prefer to have the GOP id on display for all the world to see, to have their base’s crazy laid bare. I’m tired of the punditry being able to pretend it’s “both sides”, or that the GOP base is justifiably angry, or that a large percentage of their base aren’t hateful lunatics being fed by elected, hateful lunatics. A Trump candidacy exposes the GOP, exposes their base for what they are, and forces moderates and independents to take a long, hard look at the batshit they’ve been tacitly supporting.

This is obviously going to be the most spectacular highest rated Saturday Night Live episode of all time, much better than the snooze fest very unfunny episode when Barack Obama made a cameo…

Just thought I would take a shot at writing Trump’s Tweet for him.

Will he whine, (of course he will) when they parody and lampoon him to shreds?

comcast’s media outlets nbc, and esp msnbc, are essentially trump central. they daily cover live portions of whatever engagement he’s doing that day; their commentary is overwhelmingly devoted to him with the occasional foray over to the latest idiocy from carson… and let’s not dismiss the craven grab for ratings… since trump always brings the eyeballs.

re the dems – it’s almost exclusively clinton – except it’s all about how unlikable she is; today they’ve been rerunning the 2008 clip of her hurt feefees because the voters don’t like her. although biden does get attention – more than is given to sanders (whose coverage is essentially his mtp comment that he’s not a capitalist, but a democratic socialist)

Let me save everyone the task of reading Donald’s comments the morning after the telecast … “I was far better than Hillary.” You’re getting a bit predictable there Trump.

Yuuuge, would you say?

Well, it makes sense. His candidacy has been one long very bad SNL skit, so he might as well finally HOST the show…

SNL cast resembles the TeaPub wannabes in numbers…

and quality.

You have to realize that I saw the first episodes hosted by AnabolicSteroid cereals …

Well, I’d feel better about this if I could be assured Lorne Michaels would eventually die a slow, agonizing, painful death.

And my esteem for Lorne Michaels takes yet another hit… It’s really never recovered after he shit on Elvis Costello. But Jeez! What a choad.

More free publicity. Who needs a SuperPAC when media outlets are falling over themselves to give you free air & print coverage? However, this particular show might create more damage than anything else.

More burnishing of the family brand. I wonder what his cost basis for this appearance is. Trump expects to get paid for waking up in the morning. Money is #1 in his world. Nothing else matters.
