Discussion: Trump Scheduled To Host 'Saturday Night Live' Next Month

I wonder if anyone else will have the nerve to pull a Nora Dunn / Sinead O’Connor style walkout.

Slightly OT but one more pundit, David Brooks, has thrown up his hands and declared the Republicans the “incompetence caucus,” nothing now but radicals capable only of destruction. So if the Gray Lady’s boss conservawonk is saying that, maybe the tipping point is finally coming and the punditry at large will give itself permission to call crazy what it is.

I bet David Duke could get a few laughs with a walk on. This is beyond disgusting. Will there be a move to boycott the show?

SNL goes tabloid…

i think that’s unlikely… the media is there to be entertained, dammit… i’ve had msnbc on all day, and they’ve not once discussed any issue… it’s all about how likable clinton is (2008 clip on rotation); how sanders describes himself as a ‘socialist’ … but most importantly trump’s appearance on snl. they are pissing themselves in excitement about that.

thomas roberts stated that trump’s snl announcement has taken the juice out of tonight’s debate…

and i just have to toss this in – yesterday, mark halperin actually proffered one of the topics to be discussed – depending on the moderators – should be … whitewater. i shit you not.

“Due to the recent derogatory statements by Donald Trump regarding immigrants, NBCUniversal is ending its business relationship with Mr. Trump,” NBC said in a statement, adding, “At NBC, respect and dignity for all people are cornerstones of our values.”

Unless they need a loudmouthed badger-headed host for a comedy show.

And I am very sure Trump isn’t showing up for free.

God. What can I say? Some of us remember the Harry Reasoners, the Eric Sevareids, back in the old days when being a witless clown wasn’t a job requirement at the highest levels of television news.

And I was very young then but I do remember.
