His Trumpladytes will cheer him heartily if he says it in a speech, but to the unfettered ear, it rings absurd, a ludicrous and bumbling confession of happy incompetence.
Trump doesn’t want to be President, he’s born to be a candidate,not President, that president thing would only require him have to actually work hard on something other people might actually benefit from, for once in his gilded plastic life.
I, for one, don’t believe he wants the job, he just wants attention.
Like I said, the candidate thing has been great, production politics and gilded Trump are a perfect fit, quite obviously.
He loves this absurd campaign and all it’s seedy glory, but the actual job, not so much

You can basically expect the opposite of what he says to be true on anything. If he says he’s going to pivot, that means he won’t. But if he says he won’t, it pretty much means it’s happening. Make sense?
It is usual that exceptionally unruly children cannot modify their behavior.
I don’t think any reasonable observer of Donald Trump thought that he would “pivot” to a kinder, gentler Trump. After all, he advises himself.
