Discussion: Trump Says He Has 'No Idea About The Mueller Report'

Honestly, that’s my take on it, as well. Think about it: knowing that Trump is genuinely stupid, that he’s wildly unpredictable, and that he’s easily manipulated, which would you pick? Select him as a co-conspirator and try to keep him contained? Or surround him with corrupt folks who will lead him by the nose to the outcomes you want?

The second option is safer and easier.

CONCLUSION
Donald Trump is a Russian.

House & Senate are out until next week. Maybe the mice are playing while the cat is away.

I don’t buy it. He may be in mental decline, but he hates delegating authority. It’s why the Chief of Staff job has devolved from Kelly-era control into a guy taking vacations in Vegas from the WH, instead of trying to manage anything. His fingerprints have to be all over just about everything Mueller is investigating.

The only real question will be if he was only informed about everything going on to benefit his election and personal business empire, or if he directed it from the start. Either way, he’s guilty of conspiracy.

It would seem to make sense that Mueller would not release his report when the House and Senate are not in session. They’re not in today but return next week.
Who knows? I don’t, just a guess.

yes there are protocols. But those protocols can, and will, be challenged when it comes to the discovery process, and potential exculpatory evidence or evidence necessary to impeach the testimony of a source. And courts have sided with the defendant when push comes to shove in these instances. From US Abu Ali

If the government does not want the defendant to be privy to information that is classified, it may either declassify the document, seek approval of an effective substitute, or forego its use altogether. What the government cannot do is hide the evidence from the defendant, but give it to the jury. Such plainly violates the Confrontation Clause

That may be true, but I don’t think Mueller & Co would bother bringing indictments for cases they didn’t think they had a very good chance of winning in court. If the indictments managed to make it through a grand jury, they can get through a public trial jury also.

I know there’s some crossing of fingers and wishful thinking in this post, but I don’t think Mueller is stupid.

The thing they usually want to protect most is sources and methods. If they can figure out how to use the product without declassifying its sources and methods, then they’ll maybe do that. That’s what a lot of this “flip the humans involved” stuff is likely about. Mueller knows what happened. But he can’t prove it without compromising the original sources and methods so he has to find other sources through other methods.

which is pretty much my original point. Mueller would not bring an indictment that required the use of super sensitive classified materials at trial – and the grand jury would not see it unless it was necessary to bring an indictment because grand jury proceedings are discoverable.

So while Mueller may have the necessary evidence to prove “collusion”, because it could not be used in an indictment, he may not put it in the report.

I would prefer an indictment written in blood rather than a book report.

C’mon SDNY, you guys have the ball in your court. get in the game.

I saw a clip of moron walking towards the reporters on the WH driveway literally chanting “no collusion, no collusion.” He thinks it’s a joke, but it works both ways. I think his admin is a joke,

By saying “Mueller Report” the Right (and Rudy) are framing the narrative into a binary “win/lose”,
“Pro-Trump/Anti-Trump” affair. Moreover, they are placing William Barr (an individual people believe may be compromised by Trump) in the center of the action as “the receiver” (which is proper) of what Mueller offers (in whatever form).

All suitable to be lied about and spun.

Our “dear leader” getting his “indictment”…

Trump has no idea . . . .let’s just leave it at that.

So there are two factors here that are worth remembering. First, collusion was part of Mueller’s charter, and the “conspiracy to enable foreign influence in a federal election” seems inescapable, if for nothing other than the June 2016 meeting at the Tower of Trump. That gets Don Jr in, and Trump’s falsified account of that meeting should be part of that conspiracy. If this isn’t a finding in Mueller’s report, I’m just not sure why, even if Trump is named an unindicted co-consipirator.

Second, though, just because Mueller may not, can’t or won’t issue any more indictments doesn’t mean the matter is done: these cases are being farmed out to the US Attorney’s offices in NY and DC, and possibly VA. I’m hoping we haven’t heard the last of this.

Since Don’s latest complaint has been that “a guy that hasn’t even received any votes, is writing a report about me” … notice that he said ME … not what the investigation was really about (interference/meddling in our election) , it sounds like another subconscious confession. But, maybe he is right. So let’s have the people that have received votes (Jerry Nadler, Elijah Cummings, Adam Schiff and Richard Neal) conduct some inquiries and see what happens.
