This is a huge win for our cause.
The fact that this so-called investigation has gotten no where and apparently no not even Republicans outside this WH have any interest in it, much less funding it, is a huge win for the progressive cause.
The Bush admin / Karl Rove deeply politicized this issue by pushing hard on this canard (and fell hard) going so far as to fire a number of U.S Attorneys who refused to pursue political prosecutions on a handful of individual citizens for alleged voter fraud. The attempt was to prosecution individiuals around the country and them Rove would use those to claim a wave of voter fraud is sweeping the nation, etc.
For those who weren’t here at TPM at that time, it was Josh Marshall and his team that uncovered this story and pushed it hard for a period of months. This coverage won them a Polk award.

This is like the loons who routinely mount expeditions into the mountains in Turkey in search of traces of Noah’s Ark. To me, it’s like sending an expedition to the North Pole to track down signs of Santa’s Workshop.
I’d love to be a fly on the wall when the commission meets to review the evidence of massive voter fraud.
Commission member: “How will we apologize to His Majesty?”
Pence: “Leave that to me. I am the only one who must apologize to His Majesty.”
