Not that I disagree with the overarching point of liberals needing to do better about keeping the court in mind when voting, but I guess I’m not seeing the relevance of that graph. Yes, it shows that of those that voted for Clinton that they weren’t thinking about the Supreme Court as much as Republican’s voting for Trump, but that could just as easily be because many Republicans who voted for Trump were holding their nose and voting for him just because of the Supreme Court while those voting for Clinton were voting for her because they actually support her.

Doesn’t look like much of a moderate voting record to me. Kinda like old mavericky McCain and outspoken yet do nothing Jeff Flake. They are the two who could by far have more effect on any SCOTUS pick than the weak spined Murkowski and Collins that the media is obsessing over.

McCain may not show up to vote any longer, and maybe Flake doesn’t want to announce he’d vote no because hellfire from the WH would rain down on him. That’s the optimistic view.
But media is obsessing, if they are at all, over Collins and Murkowski because in the past they have individually or together voted against PP’s legislation. This kind of against the grain voting would also include Collins’ long R vote against confirming Pruitt. I’ve posted on several other boards their record of support of Planned Parenthood and recognition from the organization acknowledging. They know confirming an anti-abortion nominee would harm a cause they care about. But I suspect if the first is shot down, there’ll be more and worse in the wings.
Demand away but you won’t get. I’ve played piano for money myself, and occasionally in some pretty shady places, and I don’t think there’s enough discretionary income happening to make significant charitable contributions out of. Your request is denied. Have a nice day.
